CHAPTER THIRTEEN Mackenzie made sure that Vanessa and Jack Springs were separated as soon as they got to the precinct. Once the initial juvenile reaction of most of the male officers over Vanessa Springs passed, the Springses were quickly ushered into separate rooms. Because Jack had been the one under arrest, he was placed in an interrogation room, where Ellington and Rodriguez questioned him.
