Lord Madison's POV:
I watched her finish the first and second bottle of beer, but when she tried opening the third one, I stopped her and called the attention of the server. I paid the bill and told Nora we were leaving, and she didn't object to it.
We walked out of the club and both got into the car. The drive was silent, while I occasionally stared at her and saw that she was looking outside the window.
"Are you okay?" I asked, and she nodded.
"You sure?" I asked, and she nodded.
"Alright." I heaved a deep breath and focused my attention on the road. Tonight was supposed to be a fun one, but I spoiled it by saying those words to her.
