“Are you sure about this?” Lolita asked, and I nodded before entering the gate to the mansion. As I made my way to the sitting room, I saw Lord Maddison walking out of the mansion, with maids following behind him carrying luggage.
The moment our eyes met, I stood frozen, locking my gaze with his. It had been two weeks since I last saw him, and all my attempts to reach out to him had been in vain.
