Nora’s POV
Walking through the school gate, I could still feel eyes on me, but not as intense as yesterday. I made my way to class, and as I went to my usual spot, I noticed the boy who had been tortured by Lord Maddison. We held a gaze, and to my surprise, he smiled at me and waved. “Did he just do that?” Lolita asked as I smiled and shyly waved back at him.
I reached my usual spot and saw that Dora was already seated. “What was that?” she asked as I took the seat beside her, “What?” I asked, pretending ignorance, “Did Joshua just smile and say hi to you?” she asked while I smiled and shrugged my shoulders.
I knew she wanted to ask me a million questions, but luckily the professor walked in, and we all had to keep silent.
