Nora’s POV
We both came out of the car, and without talking to each other, we entered the sitting room, which was filled with Alphas. The moment they saw Lord Maddison, they all stood to their feet. “Where is he?” Lord Maddison asked.
“In his room,” Jayson responded, and we took the stairs to his room. Jayson opened the door, and we stepped in before closing the door. When I entered the room, I saw Alpha Leo lying on the bed, his head, and chest bandaged, causing my heart to clench. My wolf didn't scream “mate” to me, but deep down, I heard her whisper. She still feels this bond, which has not been totally broken.
“Nora, Lord Maddison, you've arrived,” Lady Christabel spoke in relief. “What is wrong with him?” I asked and tried to go to him, but Lord Maddison stopped me.
