"Are you hurt?" I asked Mother in a worried tone as I scanned her body. "I'm fine. It's not me you should be worried about." She grumbled, her eyes fixed on the stairs. "She will be fine," I assured Mother with a groan. Madison was not just an ordinary healer; he was the best. "You should go and check on her," my wolf pleaded, but it fell on deaf ears. "Maybe if she dies, I will be given a second chance mate," I grumbled within me while my wolf howled angrily at my words.
