Nora’s POV
“You’ve passed the first test. Let’s hope you can meet the other tests in the future,” he said, while I gulped and looked away. I couldn’t believe I had just tried to kiss him.
“Can I leave?” I asked, and he remained silent for a moment before replying, “I’ll drive you back home.” He flashed a quick smile and picked up his jacket from the couch. “Shall we?” he said and led me out of the room.
As we took the stairs to the sitting room, I couldn’t help but wonder what I had gotten myself into. I knew that what he had asked me to do in his room was just the tip of the iceberg of what he was about to make me do, and the thought of that frightened me.
