Left At The Altar Again

Chapter 10

Hayden came out of his meeting looking tired. We were leaving to go to London tomorrow morning, so I decided to stay quiet for now.

We drove to my house and his bag was at my house already. Bella and Brody were coming to London too. Hayden wanted to use his private jet so we were leaving around 10am.

We had some food and went to bed, I wanted to ask Hayden but I was too scared. What did Hayden have that was Jake's?

We woke up had some food and headed to the airport. Once the flight began Hayden pulled me over to the bedroom.

"What's wrong babe your too quiet"I shook my head and he picked me up. I wrapped my legs around him and kissed him. His lips left mine and he kissed my neck.

I pushed him away and he looked at me. "You give me a hickey my dad and brother will kill you"

"Tell you the truth, I'm scared"

"Aww why, they will love you I promise"

"I hope so" we just spent the rest of the flight talking about work and my family.

Hayden is the first boy I'm talking home since Jake so they know I'm dead serious about him.

We got off the plane and my brother was waiting for us. I ran down the steps into his arms.

"I missed you so much"

"I missed you too you should come more often" Jay hugged me tight and said hello to Bella. Hayden and Brody came and I introduced them.

"Jay this is my boyfriend Hayden and his brother Brody who is Bella's boyfriend. And guys this is my brother Jay"

They shook hands and Hayden looked a bit nervous. We got into the car and drove home. When we got there I was shocked there were balloons and banners saying welcome home.

Bella and I squealed and went in. Our parents were there and I ran to my mom and dad. They hugged me and I brought Hayden over.

"Mom dad this is Hayden" mom gave him a hug and was really excited but dad was analysing him.

"It's nice to meet you sir" Hayden put out his hand and my dad smiled.

"It's nice to meet you son call me Drew" they shook hands and dad took him away.

I spent ages talking to all my old friends and family. We had dinner and it was time for bed. Hayden came into my room looking worried.

"What's wrong?"

"Another deal has been broken" he sighed and lay down.

"I need to tell you something" he sat up and looked at me.

"Jake came to the office and threatened me. He said tell Hayden to give me back what was mine or else"

"I knew it was Jake all along but why didn't you tell me earlier" his jaw was clenched and he was mad.

"I'm sorry" I mumbled.

He got up and changed he got into bed and didn't look at me.

I lay down and closed my eyes, a tear slipped out my eye.

"Stop crying" he mumbled

"Sorry" I whispered, whipped my face and tried to get to sleep.

I woke up the next day to an empty bed. Hayden was gone and I was disappointed to not see him.

I did my morning routine and went for a run. I was running along the road and bumped into someone. I looked up to see Cristi.

"Aww look little miss left at the altar. You look s**t Lexi"

Cristi was a b***h she was the high school b***h.

I scoffed and walked off, she grabbed my arm and dug he nails into me. I winced and she laughed. "This is still my town so if I were you go back to the slum you came from" she let go and stalked off.

I went home showered and put a full sleeve top on. There were nail marks and a bruise forming on my arm. I didn't see Hayden all day he was locked up in dads study with Brody.

I went to bed and Hayden was already in bed asleep. I crawled in beside him and he was facing me I kissed his cheek and he stayed still.

"Hayden please talk to me" he moved away and turned over. I pulled him back, "Hayden" I called.

He grabbed my arm and I winced. "Go to sleep, I'm tired and I’m leaving early in the morning"

"What, where are you going" his grip tightened.

"Home, you would know that if you were doing your job properly" he hissed.

"Let go of me" I mumbled his grip was hurting my arm. He let go and turned over.

"I'm coming with you"

"No you're not end of discussion" he snapped and turned over. I got out of bed and went downstairs.

I sat down on the sofa and logged into my email. There were hundreds about the contract that was stopped. I sighed and tears flowed out my eyes.

Maybe I wasn't qualified for this job, maybe I should just leave. The contract said two years but there must be a loop bole somewhere.

I woke up to someone moving me. I opened my eyes and it was Hayden. I moved away and he scowled.

"I just needed my files" I look at the time and it was morning.

"You're leaving" he nodded grabbed his files and left. Dad dropped them off at the airport and Bella stayed here with me. Before Brody left he kissed her and she was all happy.

I looked at Hayden he came towards me was about to kiss me on the cheek. His lips were millimetres away and he moved away. It was just for show.

I spent the whole week at home. I put a smile on my face and carried on. No one knew that Hayden was done with me.

We were on the plane back and Brody picked us up. I was hoping that Hayden would come bug he didn't.

Bella and Brody went out and I just sat at home. I grabbed a bottle of wine and drank. Hours passed and I was pissed. It was raining and I ran outside in my shorts and vest top and nightgown.

It was almost 1am and I was falling all over the place. I was walking in the rain and somehow managed to get to the office. The night guard saw me and took me in.

"Miss you need to go home" he took my phone and called the first person which happened to be Hayden.

"Good afternoon sir, Miss Lexi is here" I snatched the phone out of his hand.

"Sir" I giggled and hiccupped "sounds weird, I miss you, but you don't"

"Lexi go home"

"No, I don't want go I want to leave forever" the guard took the phone and mumbled something and everything went black.
