Left At The Altar Again

Chapter 4

He excused himself and came back with a small cake and a bottle of champagne, he popped the champagne and I cut the cake. I fed him some and he wished me a happy birthday again.

"Thank you, but you didn't have too" I smiled at him and carried on eating. Some music started and I smiled.

"Dance with me" he put out his hand and I took it. We swayed to the song and his hands were on my waist. He leaned down to kiss me and I moved away.

"I'm sorry" I covered my face, I'm such an i***t, I really want to kiss him it's just I haven't kissed anyone since that day. He took my hands off my face.

"It's fine I understand. I really like you Lexi" he kissed my cheek instead and moved away.

"I like you too It's just hard"

"Do you still love him" he blurted out.

"No, thinking about it now I don't think I ever did"

"That's fine that gives me a chance" he smiled and took my hand. He paid for the bill and he took me back to his place.

"Wow" his house was big, we entered and he took me to the kitchen.

"Thanks’ I knew you'd like it. Have you thought about the job offer?"

"Ye I am really excited to start, I get to spent time with you" I smiled. He handed me a glass of wine and I drank it. "You know I really wanted to kiss you, I'm just scared" I mumbled.

"What are you scared of" he touched my cheek and I leaned into his hand.

"Just scared that if I get too close to someone that they will leave me like he did" I mumbled

"If you give me a chance I promise I won't disappoint" he had a small smile on his face and his beautiful eyes gazed at me.

"What about work, won't that be a little unprofessional"

"Don't care, I'm the boss and I make the rule's" he smirked and we went to his room. We sat on his bed and watched a film. I was leaning on his shoulder and I got up and straddled him. I leaned in and pressed my lips to his.

He pulled away and brushed my hair behind my ear, "You're a good kisser" his complement made me smile.

"You haven't seen anything yet" I pressed my lips to his again, my mouth melted into his and I moaned. He licked my bottom lip and rejected him. I pulled away and he growled.

"You're such a tease" he mumbled in my hair.

I changes into one of his t-shirts and I went to sleep. The next morning I slipped my dress on and he dropped me off at home.

"See you at the office later" he kissed my cheek and left.

"Tell me everything"

"We just had dinner, cake, champagne and I kissed him" she squealed and spun me around

"Finally, I thought you were going to grow old alone with just cat's" I laughed and we went upstairs' to get ready. She decided on a smart dress and blazer with black heels.

I wore a black skirt with a red blouse black blazer and red heels; we got in the car and drove to the office.

"Hi were here to see Mr Coleman"

"Are you Lexi and Bell?"

"Yes"

"Top floor the office is right in front" I thanked her and we got in the elevator,

I knocked on the door and heard David tell us to come in. As soon as we entered, the boy's stood up. Hayden came over and hugged me "You look good" I thanked him and pulled away.

"Ah I see my boys have taken a liking to their new PA's" David laughed. "Alright that's fine as long as it doesn't affect my standards its fine. You're good girls so I trust you, read through the contract and sign" we sat down and read through and I could feel Hayden watching me. I picked up the pen and signed and so did Bell.

"That's fine then. All three of our offices are on this floor" Hayden pulled me out of the room and into his office. It was huge. There was a main desk which I assume was his and there was a smaller desk in the corner which I assume was mine. He had a little kitchen type thing in the other corner and a set of sofa's as well.

"What do you think" Hayden was stood behind me, hands on my waist and his chin on my shoulder.

"It's amazing I love it" I turned around and hugged him.

"Alright I will show you around and get settled in" I kissed his cheek and followed him.

I spent the day learning where everything was and what it was I had to do and I liked it already.

"Alright that's enough for today, why don't you come back to mine we will celebrate Brody is taking Bell back to his" I nodded and we left together. Hayden was holding my hand and I was getting death glares of some women.

"Ignore them" we got in the car and drove to his house. I made diner and we talked for ages, "I have a meeting tomorrow morning, so I will drop you off home and you can get dressed and pack some clothes to keep here" he kissed me on the head and I fell asleep in his arm's again.
