Chapter 18: Aurora can’t help herself

“What?”

“What happened?”

Just when they were excitedly discussing, a sound that seemed came from hell suddenly interrupted their talking.

The crowd felt their nerves were set on edge at that moment, but they had no idea what trouble they had caused. Because they thought they were talking about the ugly girl Aurora Forest, not his fiancée!

However, people under the stage could only stop gossiping when they saw Caldwell’s indifferent face.

In the last part of the evening, Aurora and Caldwell cut a nine-tier birthday cake together hand in hand. And then, with the blessing of the guests, the banquet ended.

The whole villa finally quieted down…

Lune seemed drunk. She staggered along toward Aurora and Caldwell at a slow pace.

“Rory, Caldwell, I’m so happy to see you engaged finally. Rory, I wish you happiness...”

Aurora gazed at her. Although Lune was talking to her, her eyes were fixed on Caldwell clearly showing how much she cared for him.

“Thank you.” Aurora chuckled, and then she held Caldwell’s arm. The next second, she stood on tiptoe, and gently dropped a kiss on his cheek. “As you hoped, Caldwell and I will be happy.” she said to Lune.

In fact, Aurora knew Lune could drink well and did not easily get drunk. The only reason she had stayed was to try and allure Caldwell.

As expected, Lune’s face turned gloomy when she saw Aurora kiss Caldwell. However, she could only grit her teeth as she forced a stiff smile to well wish them and then she also left their house. Aurora just stood there sneering.

Since Lune had gone as well, Aurora thought it was not necessary to stay with Caldwell anymore. Then she said to him in embarrassment, “Caldwell, I feel a little tired from wearing these heels the whole day. I’ll go back to my room now.” she turned towards the stairs.

However, when she turned around, a strong arm hugged her waist tightly and made her turn back to face him, “Kick down the ladder now?” Caldwell said in smile. His inky eyes were shining like the stars, but also intimated her. Aurora felt her heart beating fast at that moment.

“Ha-ha, what are you saying, Coldwell? I don’t understand your meaning.” Aurora felt very nervous, an ambiguous emotion had suddenly filled her mind. She knew what he meant actually, but it was too stupid to admit that! So, she had to smile embarrassedly and say, “I… I am really tired now…”

Caldwell gazed at her with a smiling eyes, asked, “Really?” the voice was soft and sexy which enchanted Aurora deeply. Aurora suddenly forgot how to respond to him. Her heart beating faster and faster as her mind went blank. Seeing his lips move down closer and closer, she couldn’t help closing her eyes...
