Aurora tried her best to keep calm as she met Caldwell’s eyes. “Did you see the note?” she wondered. “The one that I left on your bed?”
Caldwell looked at her with some skepticism. “What note?” he wondered.
Aurora bit her lower lip and stared at him. “Can you go to your bed and bring back what you find there?”
Although Caldwell was still unhappy, eventually he stood up and walked towards the front of his bed where he found a heart-shaped note. He opened it and read it out loud: “My darling, I have a surprise for you. It is in your bedroom, but you’ve gotta find it yourself. If you can’t find it, there will be no surprise.”
