Chapter 2 Ten days later, Tezla emerged from hyperspace, dizzied and nauseous. Her flight away from Diadem had become a relentless pursuit. Her jumps through hyperspace and the wormhole network had slowly shaken off her trackers, but her earlier nonchalance had turned to worry, and then fear, stunned by the tenacity of Hej’s hounds. “What do they want?” she had demanded on the seventh day, as four ships emerged from the wormhole she had exited less than three hours before.
