“Well?” Zorn asked. “It’s locked.” “Does the map say anything about a key, or a magic incantation or something?” Gertrude asked. Topher snapped his fingers at I, Dennis. “Shine the light on this.” He shuffled and crinkled the maps. “There’s a lot of indecipherable scribble.” “No key?” “Of course not!” “I think I got it,” Marvin rumbled. Gertrude had to sit down in order to let the larger boy pass, as did Zorn. Topher ducked under him, quickly followed by I, Dennis. Marvin gripped the handle firmly and applied pressure. The knob cracked, and he pulled harder. The door groaned and splintered, and then there was a huge explosion of wood shards and slivers and chips.
