Chapter Twenty-One: Time with Ash

I put my new buddy on my new bed and watched as he scurried about. I was pleased to find that he wasn’t setting my covers on fire, which was a valid concern since Ash appeared to burn anyone else that touched him. Angel had turned back into his human self and had followed me with Tuff behind. I tried to ignore Tuff as he too leaned closer to Ash. “What are you going to feed it?” Food? That I hadn’t really thought about. “Whatever he wants I guess.” Tuff rolled his eyes at me. “I’ll go get it some food, I don’t know if our Ash there knows how to hunt.” I turned to correct him there was no our on anything. I didn’t want to share or be part of anything that he was but he had already slipped out of the door leaving me alone with Angel and Ash and the silent Axel. Angel flopped onto the bed
