I feel like I'm finally making a lot of progress with Faith. We spent the entire day walking, talking, eating, and really getting to know each other. It definitely puts her more at ease with me, and she seems happier.
It’s clear she wants to stay here longer, but I know it's not safe. Once we load the car again, Faith offers to drive, but I refuse. I'm not a fan of cars to begin with, but when I need to use them, I need to drive.
Luckily, I found a small beach house last night online for rent. It's old and looks like it needs a lot of work, but it's far away from everything. The landlord was very happy with my offer to pay cash. Of course, I'll make sure it's safe before we settle in, but it's far enough away from everything.
