He needed to be alone. He could not accept the instructions he had received. In his room he retrieved a bottle of water from the fridge, taking a few long gulps. The rush of coldness did wonders, but nothing for his mind - no refreshing coolness to take away the sharp reality of his life. He scanned his room, saw every book and folder in stark contrast to his life. They were all neatly stacked on a shelf.
