Arabella felt like her heart was sinking deep into her chest, crying out silently for the innocent life wasted. She could not tear her eyes away from the lifeless eyes that stared up at her, as if begging her to remember her blood that had been shed so needlessly. Around her, the guests and the King started chatting as if nothing had happened, with a few guards coming forward to drag the body and its head out of the room. It left a deep red bloodstain on the marble flooring, the sight accusing Arabella of not having done a thing to stop it.
