Llona
Llona!
The sound of my name jolted me awake. My eyes flew open, and I frowned as I took in my surroundings. Metal surrounded me, including beneath me. I tried to move into a better position but my body wouldn’t respond.
Llona! My name again. Inside my head.
Unable to move my head, I darted my gaze all around. I was in the rear of a van lying on my back. Someone lay at my side. Probably May.
I concentrated trying to remember what I last remembered. I’d been asleep but woke to the sound of the balcony door sliding open. I sat up just as I felt a sharp sting on my upper arm. The large shifter coming through the door had shot me. May came next.
