***LEA'S POV*** I was about to sleep when a knock was heard. A middle aged woman entered. "Hello your highness. From now on I'll be your personal maid." "Uh hi.." I trailed not knowing her name. "I'm Anna." She smiled wildly. "Nice to meet you." "I'll be here tomorrow at 9 to help you get dressed for the breakfast which takes place at 10 o'clock." She bowed and left not waiting for my response. "Okay then." I shrugged and climbed on the bed welcoming sleep. I couldn't sleep. I kept replaying what my parents said that day. This was bound to happen? What do they mean? I have to find out. I must speak to the king first thing tomorrow. ____________________ "Anna I need to speak with the king." I told her as soon as she entered the room. "Your highness you should have breakfast right now." "I need to speak with king Henry right now." I said. "Oh you mean the former king. he's very ill my queen. He can't see you right now." She said sadly. "Lead the way to the dinning room." I sighed defeated. I followed Anna towards the dinning room. Brandon was already sitting there at the dinning table. He looked at me and stood up. I looked around me waiting for his next step. "Anna leave with all the maids." Ace said. "Yes your highness." They all said. "Sit down." He told me. I took my seat and waited. "Lea I won't lie to you anymore. Not like how everyone had been lying to you." He said. "Who has been lying to me?" I knew this has to be related to what my father was saying the other day. "What I'm about to say doesn't change anything between us." He said with his usual glare. "Whatever." I said with a roll of my eyes. "Listen-" He started to say but he was cut abruptly. "Your highness!" He stood up immediately and looked at Anna "What happened?" She was shaking. "King Henry!" She didn't need to say anything else before he understood what she wanted to say and he sprinted from the room. "I-Is he d-dead?" I asked afraid from her response. "No but he's heavily sick." She said. "Where's the queen." Arnold frantically around the room until he saw me. "What happened Arnold?" I approached him. "You must come with me." He said and we headed towards the king and queen's chamber. Arnold knocked and we entered. The queen was sitting crying while clutching her son's hand. The prince had a cold face and he was looking at the doctor examining his father. When he saw me he let go of his mother's hand and took me by me elbow. We approached the queen and I sat next to her. I took her hand in mine and looked at her with a sad smile. "Everything will be okay." I told her trying to ease her pain. The queen was kind enough when she returned my sad smile. She squeezed my hand in a grateful manner. "I finally got the daughter I always needed." She said through her tears. I didn't know what to say so I stayed silent. "Your highness I-" She cut me. "Don't call me your highness. You're the queen now. Call me Elizabeth please." I nodded. "Okay Elizabeth." "The king is fine now. He has to rest and sleep a bit. I gave him the medicines." The doctor said and the queen smiled at me. "Doctor can I speak with you for a moment?" The prince asked and the queen followed them outside the chamber. "I'll go your highness if you need me I'll be in the kitchen." Anna said and left. I was now alone on this chamber with king Henry. "Lea." I was startled because I thought he was asleep. "Yes your highness." I stood next to him. His skin was pale and he looked like a dead man. "I I- want to t-ell you that y-your p-parents only want what's best for you." He started coughing and I quickly handed him a cup of water. "I know but I can't understand what happened. Everyone is acting fishy." I said. "I know and that's what you need to find out." "Can't you tell me?" "I can barely talk." He smiled sadly and closed his eyes. I left the chamber and went to find something useful to do. I am constantly thinking about what king Henry had just said. I know my parents well to know that they want the best for me but- How the hell does he know what happened with my parents? There is surely something not right here. Everyone was acting as if they expected that this was going to happen. Even the prince was going to tell me something this morning. I went back to my chamber and closed the door. I took a deep breath and turned around and screamed. "What the f**k is wrong with you?" The prince put his hand on my mouth shutting me up. "What the f**k are you doing here?" I asked still trying to calm my racing heart. "This is my chamber dumbass." I looked at him like he's crazy. Dumbass I started hearing a child's voice in my ear screaming. I couldn't hear what he was saying but I wanted him to stop. "Stop." I screamed. "s**t. Lea what's happening to you?" The prince was looking frantically. "Lea you dumbass didn't find a better place to hide?" The voice said and laughed. "Don't call her that." Another voice said. "Or what? What will you do peasant?" I can see silhouettes but I couldn't know to who they belong. I took a breath like I had been drowned and looked at the prince who had concern on his face. "What happened?" I asked him. "I should ask you that. You suddenly started screaming for someone to stop." He said helping me to stand up. "I'm fine now." I told him as I sat on the bed. "Good. I'll tell Anna to bring you food since you hadn't eaten since yesterday." He said and closed the door with a bang. Again. That was interesting.
