I went through the same process of getting my feet and legs into it, then carefully drew it up into place over the slip, covering the bottom of the blouse. The new skirt was a dropped yoke style with the top part smooth for about six or eight inches, then the pleats began, flaring out below. I’d always liked the style because the smooth top part accentuated a woman’s hips where they swelled from the waist and now it would be my own hips, not foam padding. The waistband had a button closure and a zipper at the side that ran down to the bottom of the smooth top part and so I did up the button and zipper then smoothed the skirt and looked in the mirror to see that it fit my new shape perfectly. It draped over my hips with the pleats falling in nice lines to the hem, just the way I had admired
