Daisy's POV

As much as I miss my grand-daughter, I can't imagine for Violet feels. My children may be grown and live in different places, but I'm at least able to talk and visit them anytime I want. Violet and Chris don't have that option when it comes to Star. She kept herself locked in her room for five months. Five months! I wanted to give her space, but I didn't think it would be for this long. So, you can imagine my surprise when I spot her outside on the training field. My heart felt so relieved and happy to see her out and about with other people.

"Hi, mom. I can sense your excitement all the way from here." I hear Violet say through link. My wolf urges us to run to our pup, and I do. I wrap her in my arms the second I approach my daughter. "I've missed you so much." I whimper out, holding back my tears. "I know, and I'm sorry. I was being selfish. I missed you and everyone as well, but my longing for Star over ranked my emotions."

She tells me as she hugs me back.

"Can we talk later? I need to catch up on training." I hug her once more and let her begin stretching with the others. I stay for awhile and observe everything. Juliette and Ryan are beaming with pride and I am so happy for them. It still blows my mind that between Noah and Alex being the father, she ended up being human.

"What's on your mind, beautiful?" I startle, but relax once I feel the sparks on my arm. Turning around, I give Avery a kiss on the lips. "Just how much I love our family and pack." He smiles at me before swooping me up, causing me to let out a little shriek.

"Where are we going?" I exclaim through my laughter.

"You'll see." He smirks, causing me to get aroused. Damn him and his sexiness. I know he smells it by the way his eyes flicker black before returning to normal.

We reach the woods and he tells me to shift. "You're not the boss of me." I playfully say as I cross my arms over my chest. This causes a low growl erupt from him, and damn. Even after all these years, everything he does and says gets me so turned on. Before I know it, he's behind me and smacks my ass. "It's not polite to disobey your alpha." He whispers into my ear as he rubs my ass gently. "If you don't listen, I won't give you what you are craving for." Now I'm the one to let out a low growl. He's such a tease. I kneel on the ground and shift into my wolf. "That's what I thought." Avery smirks before shifting into his wolf as well.

He takes off running and I chase after him. My wolf is purring in delight at being free and playing with our mate. I keep up as fast as I can and he's only inches away from me. Leaping into the air, I land on top of him, making both of us tumble to the ground. My wolf licks his wolf on the face and then snuggles into him, causing Avery's wolf to purr.

"Ready to shift back?" He asks me through link and I hear my wolf whine, not wanting to leave her mate so quick. "How about we give them five more minutes?" I ask back and he agrees. After their time is up, we shift back to human form. "Come on, we're almost there." Avery sticks his hand out and I place mine in his. We walk about a mile until I hear it before I see it. The soothing sound of the waterfall. We haven't been here in quite some time.

Avery lets go of my hand and I instantly miss his touch. I watch as he walks over to a big tree and sticks his arm inside one of the holes in it. I find myself laughing as he pulls out a bottle of wine.

"What's the occasion?" I ask him skeptically. I'm the one who is good at remembering events and dates, so I know today is not something important.

"What? I can't just want to have some privacy in nature with my sexy mate?" He grins and I smile back at him. Popping the cork, he takes a chug of the wine before handing it to me. Mmm, delicious.

"I love you, Daisy." Urg, my heart. It always beats rapidly at hearing those words.

"I love you too, Avery." I place the bottle on a nearby boulder and wrap my arms around his neck, pulling him in for a deep kiss. I feel his erection pushing against me and it's so f*****g hard. I want, no, I NEED him, now.

With my arms still around his neck, he lifts me up and I wrap my legs around his waist. My back is suddenly against the tree and Avery's tongue is exploring my mouth. I gasp when I feel him enter me. f**k, he feels so good. He pulls his mouth away from my lips and kisses his mark on my neck, causing immense pleasure to shoot through my body. His thrusts pick up pace and I scream out his name as I ride out my orgasm.

I release my canines and bite onto my mark on his neck, and I feel him burst inside of me as he screams my name.

"f**k, Daisy. I love you so much." I smile at his words and dart away from him, clearly catching him off guard. I run to the low cliff and look back at Avery. We lock eyes and I jump into the water, him quickly following my lead.

"Get back here, you. I'm not done with you yet, mate." He seductively says, causing my face to blush. "You need to catch me first, mate." I reply back before swimming further away from him.
