Davina's hand reached out to lift the sheer curtains of her carriage. It was already late afternoon and the sun was frowning behind the mountain ranges. Her gloved hands held the curtain in a gentle grip as her eyes followed a flock of crows crossing clouds accross the sky to reach home. Davina could not help but smile, she was going to bring her King back, she was going to see her home again. The sound of armour clinging reached her ears, surrounding her carriage was a batch of trained soldiers. As they rose their horses, Davina could not join them in the same way. Not only was Davina not trained to ride a horse, it was also impossible to do so while she was dressed in her gown. The best alternative was to ride the fastest carriage.
