For a brief moment, everything was perfect.
I had my mate, holding my hand, smiling and teasing happily. As an added bonus, she even seemed to get along with my Beta and his mate.
I had this whole date planned. We were going to go for lunch and after I was going to take her to the lake and tell her what I am.
I had the idea to ask Sam to come along in case she needed a girl to talk to. I don't know how she was going to react, so I want to be prepared for anything because honestly, I am terrified to tell her.
The truck swerved out of nowhere. I tried to stop, I tried to swerve, but it was no use. We were hit. I knew that Sam, Mason and I would be fine, but Ellie was human. I tried to maneuver the car so the impact would be on my side, but I wasn’t quick enough.
