Get a divorce

"Harper, are you there?" Once outside, Eleanor called out for her wolf. "Harper?" Eleanor called again. "Yes... I'm here." Finally, Harper responded on the third call. "It hasn't been easy, Eleanor, we both know what we've been through," Harper said sadly. "Fortunately, the Moon Goddess has pitied our experiences and given us a chance to rewrite our lives..." Eleanor continued, picking up the conversation. "But..." Harper hesitated, and Eleanor sensed something was wrong. "Harper, what's wrong?" "Ah..." Harper sighed and finally said, "Thomas's betrayal has weakened me. I can't guarantee that I'll be able to appear whenever you need me. Worse still, after we break the bond with Thomas, we must find our true mate, or I will fade away forever." What?! This was shocking news. Finding a mate was a difficult task, and she hadn't found one in her previous life. "So we must speed up the process of reclaiming our pack," Eleanor said, her pace quickening. She needed to clear her head. As they entered the forest, she let Harper take over her body and shifted into a huge she-wolf with red fur that shimmered in the sunlight. As she ran, the breeze moved through her fur and birdsong reached her ears. The sounds of the wild gradually calmed her down. By the time she got to the highest hill peak in the pack's territory, she was feeling more composed. Standing on the hill peak, she howled in anger, letting out her frustration. Her inner pain finally eased a bit. She had declared war on Thomas, so she must find someone to support her quickly. There were few records of female Alphas in werewolf history, so she must gain the support of powerful Alphas. Alpha Henry James Hudsen of the Darkfall Pack. She thought of him. In her previous life, she remembered all his public statements, none of which disparaged women. In fact, she recalled that his pack was the only one that allowed she-wolves to receive education. She had tried to convince Thomas to adopt this, but Thomas refused. Eleanor felt relieved to have found a direction. She shifted back into her human form, lying naked on the grass. Suddenly, a scent that did not belong to her pack filled her nostrils. At the same time, a tremendous pressure descended on her back. She looked towards the source of the scent and saw a pair of golden eyes emerging from the opposite hillside! Eleanor quickly get dressed, her heart still filled with fear. This was a bad sign, indicating that their pack's security was severely lacking, as they had failed to detect the intrusion of a strange werewolf. Eleanor wanted to return to the pack immediately. She must inquire the Gamma about recent patrols. Suddenly, a strong chest embraced her from behind. It was Miller, the Beta of the pack. Eleanor let out a sigh of relief. She was safe for the moment, but as soon as she thought of how she had rejected Miller's affections, she quickly pulled away from his embrace. She had grown up and trained alongside Miller and Thomas. Before Miller knew of her feelings for Thomas, he had confessed his love to her. She told him of her true feelings, and Miller gracefully stepped back. However, after she was neglected by Thomas, Miller reappeared, grabbing her fiercely and kissing her, trying to take her away from the pack. But she slapped him, refusing to leave Thomas. Since then, Miller had never approached her alone. Despite her execution by Thomas, Miller had not spoken up for her. He should have hated her for her foolishness. But she was sure she wouldn't try to use Miller's feelings for her to gain his support. "Luna," Miller said, lowering his head to hide his disappointed gaze. "What are you doing out here?" Eleanor asked, ignoring his sad eyes and sounding surprised. "I'm patrolling the area because I've caught the scent of wolves from another pack," he told her. "Have you come across any?" "No," she replied, "but I've caught the scent too." "I wonder what they want in our territory," Miller said. "If I don't find them, I'll arrange for more men to search around." "You do that," Eleanor instructed. There was the possibility that the wolf had wandered into their territory unintentionally, but there was also a possibility that they could be spying on Blackstorm. Eleanor made to leave, but Miller's question stopped her in her tracks. "Ele, will you leave the pack if Thomas insists on marking Mia as his mate?" He did not refer to her as Luna, but Ele. Eleanor knew what he was trying to say, and before she had enough strength to oppose Thomas, she would not reveal her true intentions to anyone. "No! I will always belong to the Blackstorm Pack." "Even if Thomas sleeps with his Omega mate in your bedroom?!" Miller grasped Eleanor's arm again, forcefully. "Let go!" Eleanor shook him off angrily, her eyes blazing at him. "Remember! I am your Luna, not your Ele! Now, remember your duty, leave me, and do what you're supposed to be doing! Find the intruder in our pack!" Without waiting for Miller's response, Eleanor strode quickly towards the pack. When Eleanor went back to the Alpha's villa, Thomas was waiting for her in the bedroom. "Where have you been?" he demanded the moment she stepped into the room. "Do you know how worried I was?" Worried? Eleanor fought the urge to scoff. Certainly not about her. Maybe he was worried that she was delaying his plans to acquire a mistress. She crossed the room, headed for the bathroom, but he caught up to her and stood in her way. "I'm sorry," he said. "I shouldn't have sprang that up on you like that. I don't want this to come between us, so can we please talk about it?" "Are you going to send her away?" Eleanor asked, crossing her arms across her chest. He let out a defeated sigh. "Eleanor, she's hurt. She... I promise you again, you will always be the Luna of the Blackstorm pack. That fact will never change." Eleanor sighed helplessly. She was tired and didn't want to argue with Thomas about something that wouldn't be resolved. The pair of eyes she had encountered in the forest were also bothering her. At least for today, she wanted to rest. She had experienced too much in one day - rebirth, arguments, and being spied on. She needed to sleep. Suddenly, her lips were covered by something cold - it was Thomas biting her lip. His hands slid under her skirt, knowing exactly where her sensitive spots were. Yes, she was attracted to him. After such a significant turn of events, she needed to be comforted. She fell into his seductive trap. But suddenly, he stopped. "Ele, I promised Mia that I would announce her as part of our pack at the Alpha meeting," Thomas said abruptly. Eleanor's eyes widened. Her underwear was still in his hand, but his thoughts were still with Mia. The mark on her neck began to throb again. "Get out! Leave! Or I'll kill Mia!" Eleanor pushed him away immediately. Her body felt like it was being torn in two. She had thought Thomas had come to make peace, but he only wanted to force her into accepting his unreasonable demands while she was under his spell. Eleanor slammed the door shut and sat on the floor. Tears streamed down her face for the first time. She looked at the intimate photo of her and Thomas on her phone screen. She couldn't be foolish and hold onto fantasies about Thomas anymore. She knew that their sweet memories from the past had clouded her judgment. She unlocked her phone and deleted all their photos. There were hundreds of them, from when they had started dating as teenagers. She ruthlessly squashed the emotions that threatened to rise at the thought of all the happy and romantic memories that were now left in the past. She refused to shed a tear. He had put her through the worst, and from now on, he would be a part of her past that she cut off from her life. He was mistaken if he thought she would stick around no matter what he did. She was going to get a divorce. The forever she had dreamt of having with him had turned to nothing. So she wanted to erase him from her life and begin afresh. She immediately picked up her phone and dialed a number. She knew that once she made that call, it would signify that she could never turn back, and she would have to stand against Thomas. "Hello," a calm male voice responded from the other end.
