JULIE WALKED AHEAD of him up the stone path. The ride to her house had been spent in uncomfortable silence. Vince pushed aside their kiss, the future, and the fact that Julie was pissed at him again, and smiled at the whimsical scallops on her home. The morning sun made the painted wood look as if it glowed from the inside out. It was a fairytale come to life, and fit her as well as his hands fit her.... Vince gritted his teeth as the memory of his hands on her body sideswiped his brain. His nerves on edge, he waited as Julie put her key in the lock and twisted it, opening the door in one swift motion.
