After a week that felt longer than usual, Friday was finally here. I was really excited about my date with Jeremy because it had been a long time since I trusted myself to feel anything, or take a chance on anyone. Hunter’s leaving had hurt me badly, but with Jeremy, oddly, I felt safe. I left work early, unusual for me, and took my time getting ready.
