Without being obvious about it, Jon watched his companion. He sensed eagerness and uncertainty in the other man’s jerky movements and his quick, shy glances. “Come on, there’s plenty of room here for both of us. We’re in luck today. The crowd isn’t bad at all.” Clay edged in beside him, but seemed to take great care not to get in the way. He held up his camera, but hesitated, either not seeing a sight he wanted to capture or unsure what to try. Maybe I can give the guy a few pointers. I expect he wants some good shots for souvenirs.
