Charlotte's POV:
The morning after I go through the motions and listen to what Jane has to say to us. We are free to explore the castle and the grounds today. Do as we please, make ourselves at home. I excuse myself from the breakfast table as soon as Jane is done announcing what is on our agenda today and I make my way up to my room.
I change from the blue silk dress my maids put me in this morning and into a pair of leggings and a cotton button down shirt. I slip on a pair of canvas flats and grab my notebook out of the chest at the end of my bed. I walk downstairs and through the large doors out onto the grounds. I walk out onto the grassy hill and down towards the houses of the royal farmers.
