I am not sure if it was due to the exhaustion from yesterday, but I had zero nightmares. In fact, I even slept through my alarm. I slowly opened my eyes but cover them just as quickly. The light peering from under the window curtains is blinding me. I feel as if I had drunk last night, but sadly I didn’t drink as I wanted. Once I am sure I will not be able to continue sleeping, I throw the blankets off of me and make my way to the bathroom.
Today, it took me longer to get ready. I was not looking forward to the many conversations I would have to go through today, from the pack members that we lost to the ones that are going to have second thoughts about my newfound powers and life.
I pulled open the door and smiled at the flowers that were left right in front of my door.
