Jane “Where do you live?” Vishal asks. “Where we’re staying isn’t far from here,” I tell him. “It’s just a few blocks away. I’m staying with my friend.” “Do you mind if I know where you both live?” He smiles. I nod and smile back. “Of course, Vishal. Let’s go.” I take him to where we live, chatting with him on the way. “Are you saying that you live here?” he asks when we arrive. I know the building looks weak, like it could collapse at any minute, but I’m glad we found a place to stay.
