new student
Chase's POV
"sì mama. I will. goodbye" I put my phone in my pocket after I hung up on my mom while entering my new school. I've only recently moved in, so everything is new to me. New surroundings, new culture, and new friends are all on the horizon.
My mother put me in an academy since she will not let me be on my own. I mean, I know how to be self-sufficient; she just doesn't care since she still treats me like a child.
As soon as I came through the main doors, I went straight to the principal's office to get my schedule, my dorm room, and everything else.
wow. I'm unfamiliar with the interior. It's a luxurious modern contemporary decor; you wouldn't think this was a boys' institution. This was unexpected. For the simple reason that when you say academy or all-boys school, you're referring to a medieval or Renaissance structure. for me, at least.
I haven't seen any students around, so perhaps I'm assuming they're at class or in their dorms? The corridors are quiet. My schedule and dorm room keys were given to me by the office clerk.
"Room 215 is where your class will be held. Down the hall on the second floor. Professor Griffin is a stickler for punctuality in his classes, and you're 10 minutes late." I merely nodded and gave a tiny smile in response to what she said.
I walked to the said classroom and when I found it, I take a deep breath before I knocked on the door and opening it.
The class came to a halt, and everyone's gaze was drawn to me. As I faced the stern lecturer, I gulped.
"I'm sorry, I'm late. I'm a new student from Europe. I just moved in." I apologized.
"in which specifically in Europe?" the professor asked with a cold tone.
"Italy. Milan, Italy. I'm originated from Venice but we moved to Milan when I turned 5."
"too much information. sit down and don't be late again. I'm not tolerating it."
I nodded and find myself an empty seat at the back beside the blonde boy. he's kind of cute and I'm pretty sure that he's not listening to what the discussion is all about.
"hi. do you mind if I sit here?" I asked him first before I put my bag on the table.
"no. you can sit there. it's not taken." he smiled, "I'm Riley, by the way."
"I'm Chase." I sat down and pulled up my textbook and a notebook to write on when Riley speaks up again. is it okay to talk in class?
"so, what came unto you why'd you enroll here?" he asked.
I just shrugged thinking what I should respond with, 'it's my mom's decision. I moved in here while she's in Italy.'
"Oh it looks like your mom still can't face the fact that you're already an adult and can do on your own, that's why she puts you here so you'd be okay 24/7, is that it?"
My eyes widened at his bluntness but what he says is all correct. He is so blunt and straightforward.
He just chuckled and shook his head, "don't worry, I feel you. And don't be uncomfortable, I don't bite. I don't date foreign tops."
My jaw may have just dropped. What exactly does he mean when he says he won't date foreign tops? Well, when it comes to tops, I'm gay. Yes, I am completely gay. Back home, I dated a few guys who were complete jerks. They've always rejected me because I'm not what they expected. I'm more of a fluffy partner than a savage animal who sticks my meat to anyone. Jeez.
"Wait... so you're..."
"Yes, darling. I am what you're thinking right now." he winked at me and started to take down notes as the professor just said a while ago.
The door flew open, presenting the most beautiful boy I've ever seen, while the entire class was listening to the lecturer in front. Seriously, I'd never seen somebody like him before, or rather, I had, but only on the internet or on TV, not in person.
He has lovely baby blue eyes, but they appear to be icy. a pair of nicely formed ruby lips that refuse to grin. Since then, I've had pink cheeks that have never been pinched. a silky black curling hair that had never been touched by anyone other than himself.
Something’s missing.
I mentally slapped myself for describing in detail but he is really gorgeous. I think I just came in my pants. Just kidding.
What the hell am I doing?
The professor looked at him and nod. He went directly to his seat which is two seats away from me.
Boy, he didn't even apologize to the teacher because he's late. He never even says 'Hi' or even smile!
I kept a close eye on him. He sat down, crossed his arms, and began looking out the window. He didn't even open his textbook or glance at the professor, who had been talking for hours about something.
What the hell?
I turned my face to Riley, "Hey, who is that guy?" I asked. Riley stopped from writing and looked at the guy who am I pointing at.
"Oh. That’s the ice prince. He’s cold to everyone, even to the professors. He’s the academy's precious jewel. Cross his path, kiss your a*s goodbye because he will bury you alive." Riley said and continued to focus on his notebook.
Uh, ice prince. You sparked my curiosity a lot. I'm curious as to what's on your mind right now. I locked my gaze on him for a few minutes, thinking he wouldn't see me, but while I was staring at him, he gently wiped his cheeks while still staring out the window. He then reassembled himself, took out the textbook from beneath his desk, and sat back to listen to the professor as if nothing had occurred.
But why is he crying?
