Amanda's POV
We have been sitting here for half an hour now. Ethan and Marissa have not returned. I wonder if they enjoy themselves so much that I have forgotten about us. I look at Liam, that seems a little bit uncomfortable. I wonder what he's thinking. We wait a while longer before I am also getting uncomfortable. Did they dumb us? It is getting closer to closing time. The restaurant will be closing soon. Where are they? Why aren't they coming back? Perhaps we should go and look for them. As we are about to get up and walk out, the server comes to us with a bill.
"Mr. Maverick has paid his part of the bill. And he said that you will pay the rest of it. They had an emergency and had to leave, unfortunately. Will you pay by card, or will you pay in cash?" The server asks.
