Ethan knocked on the open door twice, entering Scarlett’s room with a hand in his pocket. “Are you alright?”
Scarlett rolled her eyes, resisting the urge to groan as she muttered an annoyed “Yeah” for the millionth time that day.
She had just given her statement to the cops—because of Ethan’s influence, she didn’t have to go to the police station herself but the cops came to take her statement at Ethan’s place—about what had gone down before, during and after Sebastian attacked her and some other questions about her job, her relationship with Ethan and Sebastian.
