Chapter TwelveLynn slept fitfully, waking with every nocturnal sound, then listening to the wind and reliving her path and her possible mistakes. Between 4:00 a.m., and six o'clock when she climbed out of bed, Lynn hadn't slept at all. She started the coffee, brushed her teeth and showered, then dressed in jeans, a white cotton blouse and a green jacket. Lynn walked into the bedroom closet, where she had set up her equipment to keep it from the view of visitors and anyone who shouldn't be there, then sat down on the floor. She pushed a button on a small console and waited. The sounds of rushing air emanated from the device, followed by bursts of static. When the static suddenly stopped, she heard voices. It took only a moment to realize that the voices were a television news team, talking
