Chapter 3

-Crimson P.O.V.- It didn’t take me long to get to the front gate at my warehouse, before I put my code in and headed through. My warehouse was perfectly placed as it was in the middle of the town, but also in the middle of nowhere. It was placed at the end of a dead-end road and it was protected by a gate, so not just anybody could come through. You could even try to ram through the front gate, but you would just end up wrecking your car. After putting in my code, I drove along the long driveway which was surrounded by trees but after about 5 minutes, I was pulling up to the front of the warehouse. My warehouse was huge as it had three floors, and it also had a huge space behind which was used for training. Everybody in town thought that this warehouse was used for some type of manufacturing but they couldn’t be further from the truth. I quickly parked in my spot which was by the front door and locked my doors before I headed to the door. I made a direct line to my office while everyone who worked for me was busying themselves. I walked into my office to find someone waiting for me.. “I didn’t expect to see you today.” I say in a joking tone. “Yeah, Yeah. Come and give this old man a hug.” I smiled before I walked over to give him a hug. He still looked the same from when I saw him 3 three weeks ago. His hair is a black with some grey in it, to which he has slicked back. His face still has those wrinkles that show he has smiled a lot throughout his life. His ocean colored eyes went well with his beige colored skin. He was still handsome for a 60 year old man. I gave Roger Eclipse a big hug as he chuckled. I had a feeling that he was going to show up today since it was the anniversary of me saving his son. I pulled back from the hug and looked around before I raised an eyebrow at him. “I know, I know but your brother stole my wife or more like...she stole him.” He said with a smile. “I think she stole him.” I said while chuckling. I made my way over to my desk and sat down while Roger sat down. “Mack called me earlier, but he didn’t tell me that you and Lisa were here.” “I told him not to. Lisa and I wanted to surprise you.” I raised an eyebrow at him. “Really? Surprise me?” I say with a squint before chuckling. “Okay, what is going on?” I ask him with a knowing tone that was mixed with my chuckle “You got me.” He says chuckling while he raises his hands up in surrender. “Lisa and I want to invite you to an event that Luke is throwing.” I shook my head while smiling. “I knew it was something.” I stood up and made my way over to Roger while he stood up. I hooked my arm through his while smiling. “Let's go and find your wife.” We made small talk as we walked down the hallway to the elevators. He was catching me up on what Luke, the one that I had saved, was doing and what the event was going to be. Apparently it was a pack event and they were just going to have a fun time and celebrate that their Alpha is still alive. Luke even invites his brother who is the Alpha of a different pack to come and celebrate. I have yet to go to one of these events and I am not sure if I want to go now, but I know Lisa will not take no as an answer. It didn’t take Roger and I long to find Lisa and Mack as they were in the shooting range, on the second floor. We walked in and I started to chuckle as I watched Lisa tease Mack, over how well he shoots. She ended up hearing my chuckle and turned around with a smile on her face. You would never guess that she was 58 as her long chocolate brown hair was nice and wavy as it was the length of her shoulders. She had the most beautiful light honey skin that shows that she spends all of her time outside. Her face is flawless as she has no wrinkles and her green eyes just shine. She rushed over to me and pushed her husband away as she pulled me into a hug. She squeezed me while I just smiled and squeezed her back. She pulled back from the hug and smiled brightly at me. “It is so good to see you, dear.” She says in a soft tone as she keeps her hands on my arms. I smile. “It is good to see you too, ma.” Lisa and Roger have been in my life for years along with Mack and Jake so Lisa ended up insisting that we call her ma or mom since she viewed us as her children. I mean we have been in their lives since I was 18 so about 6 years. Luke was 20 at the time while I was 18, so we all have known each other going on 6 years now. “So I am guessing that Roger told you about Luke’s event?” She says while keeping her hands on my arms. “Yes, he did. Don’t worry, I will be attending along with Mack, Jake, and Tom.” I tell her with a smile. She pulled me into another hug and I could feel the happiness just flow from her. “YAY! It is about time!” I pull back from the hug with a chuckle. “Yeah, Yeah.” I say. She shakes her head while she makes her way over to her hubby and he wraps an arm around her shoulders. “We will text you the details. Now, walk us out?” Roger says with a smile. I nod while I walk with them to the side door, on the first floor, where their car is parked. We all quickly say goodbye before they head into their car and drive off down the driveway. I turn around to see Tom standing there with a smile. “I was wondering when you would show up.” I say to him in a joking tone. He rolls his eyes before he wraps his arm in mine and leads me to my office. Once in my office, Tom sits down and waits for me to sit down. As soon as I sit down, he is telling me what is on the agenda today. “Okay, you have a client today around 2. Supposedly, they are dealing with the nightwalkers...but I am not so sure.” “What do you mean?” I quickly ask him as it is unlike him to question a client. “I think they are trying to set you up. I just get a bad feeling and not enough information as they tell me that they will only tell you. It is just weird.” I sit back in my chair and sigh. “I guess we will have to find out at 2.” Tom and I go over what else needs to be done for the day and before he gets up to leave. I hold up my hand to keep him seated. “Do you know what is going on with Jake” He looks at me confused which tells me that he doesn’t know anything, damnit. “What do you mean?” I sigh before I lean forward and rest my arms on my desk. “He was acting weird before I dropped him off at college this morning. I don’t know...makes me think that he met someone.” I look over to see Tom wearing a smirk which makes me roll my eyes. “You are just worried that your baby brother is going to leave the nest.” He tells me in a joking tone. “Oh, shut up. Mack found you and look where he is now, IN MY BACKYARD.” “You love us living in the guest house.” Tom teases me. “Yeah, but I am not so sure about Mack, anymore.” I say in a serious tone. He sighs before he looks me in the eyes. “We hate seeing you come home all gashed up and having to be stitched up. If it weren’t for those witch potions that you take to heal yourself then who knows how long you would last. Mack and I are really worried about you...You are all we have.” He says the last part looking down. He was not lying and that is what cut me deep…
