Waiting For Her (The Alphas Young Mate)

Two | She Calls.

POV | Aliah

'Earlier that Day'

I ran downstairs towards the smell of pancakes and bacon, bouncing into the kitchen I greeted our Chef Constance "Hi Mrs Constance!" she turned around smiling at me after plating up the last of the food "Good Morning Aliah, you're energetic this morning" I smiled back at her brightly, taking a seat at the counter I placed some pancakes onto my plate and covered them with honey before responding "I had a great sleep.." Constance dusted off her hands then proceeded to pour me a glass of juice "So no bad dreams last night?" I frowned at her words, I had been having bad dreams ever since I turned ten. They used to be every now and then, but ever since my birthday the dreams had become more vivid and consistent. 

Smiling up at her I lied "Nope, Last night I dreamt that I had a pet puppy!" I could see the questioning look on her face but chose to ignore it as I dug into my pancakes, it wasn't long before my Father came down the stairs. He walked up behind me placing a kiss on my head before taking a seat next to me "How did you sleep Aliah?" He was always so formal with me, again I faked a smile telling him everything was fine. This was a routine I had gotten myself into ever since I had turned ten,  at first the dreams were bad and soon followed by what one would call sleepwalking. Regardless of whether it was night or day I would get the urge to follow her... By her I mean the voice in my head that called out to me. 

Despite my efforts I could never quite explain it to my Father which made him worry, so I tried my hardest to hide it from him whenever I could. Before Father could question me any further Callex, the Beta of the pack, walked into the room to greet us "Hey guys.." We both waved back at him as he took the seat next to Father "..Ready for today?" I heard Callex ask my father, making me stop my fork at my lips, It wasn't until now that I remembered what was happening today. Father told me that we were going to see the elders about my 'odd behaviour' The idea didn't phase me.. that was until the dream I had last night. In my dream I saw my Father and another man, this man was much younger than Father yet he seemed bigger... stronger. Seeing a stranger didn't get to me though, usually it just meant I was going to meet someone new... but then the dream went dark and this man.. he was protecting me... Protecting me from my Father. 

I glanced over to My father and Callex as they discussed our trip to The Blood Moon's Pack where the elders resided, sensing my eyes he turned to me "What's on your mind child?" Dropping my fork I sighed contemplating the words that were about to leave my mouth "Father, are the Elders really going to help me?" I watched him shift in his seat as Callex stood beside him "We should head off soon" Father nodded to him before turning to me, taking my little hands in his he smiled "The Elders are wise beyond their years, if anyone can figure out what's wrong it's them. I promise" As father stood I whispered under my breath... 'Why does something have to be wrong with me..." 

Soon enough I was sitting in the car as we drove towards the Blood Moon Pack "Father why isn't Mother coming?" He turned to me with a flat smile, Mother was worse than him when it came to my 'odd behaviour' "Sorry Sweetheart, someone has to stay there for the Pack" I nodded my head and stared out the window, the dream kept replaying in my mind... I was curious and scared of what was to come, maybe the Elders could help me understand what all this was. But Still, why was that man protecting me from my father? I groaned crossing my arms and closing my eyes, I just wanted to get this over and done with. I wasn't sure how much time had passed but with closed eyes I could feel the warmth from the sun disappearing from my face, sitting up I rubbed my eyes. Looking out the window a smile pulled on my face, we were surrounded by the tallest trees I had ever seen in my life. Father turned in his seat to look at me "Morning Aliah, it's beautiful out here isn't it"

"It's amazing.." I spoke in awe of the view.... Aliah... I turned to my Father seeing him and Callex talking to one another in the front but... Here...come here Aliah.. I swallowed the lump in my throat realising she was calling out to me, why now of all times. "We're here" Callex announced, making my head snap to the front. The trees began to disappear and a large house came into view, pulling up to the front I could see some of the pack members. I could tell that the Man standing in front was the Alpha, his eyes locked with mine through the glass yet I didn't feel scared... his eyes held more kindness than my fathers. "Cmon Aliah" I heard my father call for me outside the car, opening the door I stepped out as my father took my hand in his... Not here... behind you...I halted my steps turning behind me, there was nothing but trees. 

"Are you okay sweetheart?" I heard my father coo at me, I nodded my head with my eyes still focused off into the distance behind me "Alpha Stone, Callex, Welcome..." I heard a deep voice boom, turning around I met the kind eyes of the Alpha again "...and you must be the infamous Aliah, I'm Alpha Black it's an honour to meet you" I smiled up at him and began to respond only for her to call out to me again... Aliah come...come here...Again I turned around looking for her, this time my actions caught the attention of Alpha Black "Aliah, can you hear something?" I heard his strong voice question me, remembering where I was I quickly bowed my head "S-Sorry Alpha I didn't mean to be rude" Lifting my chin Alpha Black smiled at me "You're not being rude little one, you have a very strong intuition don't you" I furrowed my brows, Intuition? Father had never referred to it as that. 

"Would you like to go Aliah?" I tilted my head confused, he was going to let me follow her? Father would rather lock me in a room than let me follow her voice, I shook my head knowing Father was next to me "N-no thankyou Father doesn't.." Crouching down in front of me Alpha Black cut me off "Little one I wasn't asking you're father, I am asking you. This Land is safe and my men know you're here so they will stop you at the border if need be.." I looked up at my Father wanting his Approval, he smiled down at me and nodded though I could tell he wasn't happy... Aliah quick... his almost here...I snapped my head behind us again looking out into the trees, did she say He? Was she talking about the man from my dreams?

Slowly I took one step after the other forgetting where I was and who I was with, I was completely falling into her voice and following her... I didn't think I was going to find her but... something about being here on this land felt different, and I was determined to find out why.

POV | Ace

We had been walking for about 10 minutes in the direction of the Pack House, Kane and Col walked ahead while I kept behind holding Aliah in my arms. Her head rested against my shoulder as she dozed off, I couldn't help but slow the pace of my steps admiring the sleeping beauty in my arms. Sighing I held her tighter to me, despite the happiness I felt of finally having my mate I knew the complications that were to follow. Anger coursed through me at the thought of having her Father, Alpha Stone, ripping her from my arms to take her to the Elders, or worse... back to her homeland. I got so lost in my thoughts I missed the growls that had been escaping my lips until Kane and Col stopped there steps to turn to me. 

"Hey Boss, you okay?" Col questioned while keeping his distance, if there was one thing anyone knew it was not to get too close to a Wolf and their mate, especially when in a protective state. And with the way I was growling right now I could tell that they both most likely knew the thoughts that were flooding my mind, clearing my throat I nodded at them to continue walking. They both gave me a knowing look which I tried to ignore before they turned on their feet. As we kept walking I could sense the two of them using their mind link, though they weren't trying to connect with me I kept feeling the odd tingle as they spoke... Perk of being so close with them I guess. 

I looked down at my Angel clenching my jaw before stopping in my tracks, I watched as Kane and Col flinched before turning around "..Boss?" Kane spoke this time, I kept my eyes on Aliah as I spoke "Do either of you know why Alpha Stone is here? Why... Aliah is here" Kane and Col looked at me puzzled, them sharing a quick glance before they looked at me and shook their heads "Sorry Ace, we don't.." Col responded, I sighed knowing it was best to warn them what we were walking into "Alpha Stone called my father a few days ago, he was worried about his daughter..." 

I glanced down at Aliah, holding her protectively in my arms as I spoke about the reason behind their visit "...He explained that there has been odd occurrences going on around her since her tenth birthday..." Kane and Col looked on curiously "What Kind of occurrences?" I turned to Col pursing my lips into a straight line "Stone told Father that his daughter had been feeling the pull of something that no one seemed to be able to see, he said that she was often found alone in odd places claiming there was something calling out to her..." I watched them straighten their backs understanding the seriousness of the situation "..was she?" I heard Kane whisper to which I nodded "Back there it was calling her to the water, she said it disappeared once I showed up... I didn't understand what she was talking about until you asked if her father was Alpha Stone" 

Kane and Col looked at one another, I could see the worry in their eyes. I had just found my mate, not only was she young but she was here for a reason that no wolf would wish upon even their worst enemy. Kane shook his head hating the words that were about to leave his mouth "They're taking her to the Elders aren't they..." I felt my body tense as a growl escaped my lips, He was right... My little angel was meant to head to the Elders. Once there she would be kept under their supervision and examined, from anyone else's point of view she was a threat... as if possessed by the Emerald Mother herself "Boss... if what they suspect is true then..." 

"I don't care if it's true or not, She's mine" I growled at Col to which he stood down from his words, lowering his head in acceptance as did Kane "We vow to support you and protect her, Aliah, our Luna" I was shocked by the words that left their mouths in sync, I looked on at them holding my beauty tighter to my chest "Are you sure you're willing to do this?"  I asked as they looked on with determination "She is your mate Boss, therefore she is family..." I smiled at Col as he spoke those words, Kane stepped forward resting a hand on Col's shoulder before adding "..We will do everything we can to protect her, that's a promise" I looked on proudly at the men who would help lead my pack. 

"Then Men, I suggest you get ready.. I suspect by now Alpha Stone has realised Aliah has wandered off. We could be walking into chaos.." The both looked at one another before turning to me with a nod "We're ready Boss" with a mutual understanding in place we continued our way towards the Pack house, I held Aliah tightly to my chest as she stayed peacefully in her slumber. There was no way I was going to let her be taken from my arms, and the only way she was going to the elders was with her hand chained to my own.
