Chapter FourRiding over the level ground at the back of the château, Celita thought that she had never enjoyed anything more. The stallion that the Duc had chosen for her was very spirited. At the same time he was easy to handle and went like the wind. She could say the same of the horse that Judy was riding and also of the two fine stallions on which the Duc and the Vicomte were mounted. She had no idea when she had pressed her horse ahead that the Duc was looking at her with surprise. He was thinking that she was without exception the best woman rider he had ever seen. Judy was good, but Celita had something about her that was exceptional. She herself would have said that it was because her father had taught her to love horses when she was still in the cradle. He had lifted her up
