The Moments With You

ONLY THOUGHTS OF YOU

It was around 1am in the morning of Sunday, Sidney was dead drunk on the table, and in every 5 minutes he would utter words that made no sense at all, words like; Ezekiel… liar… marriage… alone, he said those things, and Alec was half sober as well. But half was good enough for him to cook.

Alec knew those words were probably fractions of the things that were troubling him, but he wasn’t really ready to stared deciphering it out of almost no clues, and also that wasn’t his first priority, he had to get him home and also get himself home and it was late,

He knew Andrew was probably worried to death sick about him, but still he couldn’t call him now, at least not yet and he had his own reasons.

Just as Alec was pondering about what to do, he even had the idea of going to the motel that was just beside the bar they were at, a call came in to Sidney’s phone and he was lucky enough to answer it, but when Alec saw who the phone call was from, he became completely sober then he answered it,

“hello… hello… hello, Sid are you there” the person on the phone question,

The person was a little worried about Sidney because no matter how much he answered, there was no answer, this dragged on a little and soon, the worry the person felt, soon turned into frustrating and just as he was about to end the call, the person heard a soft but weak voice  say,

“he… llo, Mel its not Mr. Sidney Whales, its me Alec” Alec replied, almost sounding relieved,

 when Alec saw who the call came from, and saw it was from Mel, he became a little anxious, he was also a little scared but all that felling couldn’t overshadow the excitement and all the relief he felt. At first, he didn’t know if he should reply him or not, but immediately he remembered he was he has a task at hand and he obviously needed help, he replied him,

“I … uh, I’m with Mr. Sidney Whales and he’s completely wanted, I waned to carry hi  to his home but I don’t know it and at this point, I’m pretty sure he also doesn’t know where his own house is, and I also wanted to take him to my apartment but he weighs  way more than I weigh and I don’t think can carry him, I also thought of taking him to the Mo-” alec was abruptly interrupted by Mel, before he could finish stating his reason,

“okay just tell me where you are, or better yet, send me your location, with you phone… you still have my phone number right?” Mel asked alec as he ended him at the middle of his statement, he didn’t really feel like to his epistle,

Although, Mel sounded a little cold but he didn’t quite come across as cold to Alec who was speaking to the guy he has developed interest in,  he’s mind was all wrapped in the way his voice sounded to the extent that the people who were at the bar with them, could notice Alec was giving off a differ aura, they thought it was cute… but kindda pitiful,

Because the thought, “if he could be giving of this kind of vibe when is just speaking to his partner on the phone, the he would be completely hopeless when he actually sees the person.

After a few minutes of fidgeting through his phone, he was finally able to send the location to Mel,

“Mel, I have already sent you the Location” Alec notified him

“okay, I’ll be there in a few minutes, just dont go anywhere where, wait for me to get to you, its not that far from where the school is anyway”

“alright, I’m waiting” alec replied, almost too ambiently.

Alec waited by Mr., Sidney who was already fast asleep at the bar, while he was waiting, he was fantasizing about the meeting he was about to have wit Mel, thought of Andrew had already long left his mind and it was now completely replaced with thought of Mel,

Thirty minutes later, Mel arrived walked into the bar, he looked as matured and as handsome he could be, as he was walking through, anybody who saw him would completely fixed their gaze on him and Alec was no exception,

As Mel walked directly towards the Table where Alec and Sidney were sited, Alec gaze were completely fixed on Mel, who was dressed in a pair of blue denim pants that was of ankle length, a black long sleeves  shirt that exposed his collar bone, which was complemented by a pair of black Gucci sneakers,

“He looks so clean” Alec thought as he stared intensively at Mel, he wanted to wave at Mel, so he could be able to sight them but that wasn’t need as Mel whose sight were sharp enough for him to notice them immediately, he walked into the Bar,

Alec thought that was amazing but Mel knew it was because this was the bar, he and Sidney usually went drinking together and he also knew the table spot they like to sit on, so all he had to do was just to direct his eyes to the that spot and search of they were there and as he predicted, they were there.

Now, Mel was already in front of their table, first he glanced at Sidney who was completely wasted with hos head on the table and he let out a deep sight, then he moved his gave to the cute Alec who was staring at him with enthusiasm,

Alec couldn’t shift his Eyes away from him, neither did he want to, he wanted to say something to him, but he was too shy to utter a word to him, because he was very sure he was gonna mess thing up because right now, he still isn’t completely sober.

“I finally get to see you after all these days… I’m so happy”  those were the thought of Alec who’s eyes were on fixed on Mel, not even wavering for a second

“you still haven’t done something about the way you look at me Alec” Mel thought as he was looking down at Alec who still had his eyes fixed on him “no, its more intense this time” Mel mumble underneath his breath,

“so, if you’re done scanning my face, do you mind telling me how do we get you home Alec” Mel questioned him, breaking the Silence between the two of them

“ah! I am sorry, I will just walk home, all you have to d is take Mr. Whales home , that’s why I waited, couldn’t just leave him here like this,  also it would be best you watched over him, he had a lot to drink so he might throw up and get him some hangover pills, he’s going to have quite a hangover when he wakes up”  Alec suggested to Mel as he carried himself  then attempted to leave,

Just as Alec was about to leave, Mel stopped him, the asked “hey did you have drinks too, seeing as the table is heavily loaded”

“yeah, I had just a bottle or less... I cat really recall” Alec replied him

“hmm… I see, and have you guys paid the bill” Mel asked futher and alec nodded in affirmation as a reply to his question,

Then, Mel carried Sidney on his shoulder and helped him walk outside the Bar while alec followed behind him diligently. Soon after, the got outside the bar and Mel directed the to where his car was packed, then Mel open his car and shoved Sidney into his car

“man, you are as heavy as a f*****g log” Mel complained as he dropped Sidney in the car “just what happed to you that made you drink this much, this is totally unlike you” Mel continued,

When Alec finally saw that Mel has placed Sidney in his car, he was now on his way to leave them, but the something grabbed his hand and when he looked back, it was Mel, Mel pulled him back and asked him

“and where do you think you are going to?”

“uh… my house” Alec answered sarcastically as he tilted his head to the right and raised his eyebrows while looking at Mel,

“you should get into my car I’ll drop you off at your place” Mel offered to take him home, but Alec refused him politely, saying he didn’t have to that it could be a troubled for and he didn’t need to go that far, all he had to do was just take a 15 minutes’ walk to his house, but Mel pressed on futher for him to agree, he said “ you know, you are not quite sober right now and it would be unsafe for you to walk home by yourself this late at night, plus taking a care is proven to be quite faster that trekking” Mel insisted he take the car with them,

So after a long haul of insisting and rejecting, Alec finally agreed to ride in Mel’s car, on the way home Alec who sat at the back seat that was right behind Mel who was in the driver’s sit  continued to stare at Mel, from the back, he had so many things to say but he didn’t know how to say them or where to start,

Mel noticed Alec was intensely staring at him from the back, he couldn’t take it anymore, so he asked him;

“Alec, if you have something to say to me, spill it out now”

As soon as Alec heard this, he some what felt courageous and out of no where he just said

“I missed you so much Mel” Alec’s voice sounded so solemn and sweet at the same time, since he voice tone is the soft type.

As Alec heard him, his hear skipped a beat, it felt like he was hearing romantic words coming out from is lover or boyfriend, and Alec’s voice sounded so nice to his ear that he almost synchronized with Alec and was about to say ‘I miss you too’, because ever since that day they almost kissed at the rooftop of they Architecture Major Block, he hasn’t been able to take his mind off Alec,

The way Alec’s body felt so slender in his hands, the feelings of his soft and smooth pale skin, the way Alec’s eyes were as he looked at him, the way their heartbeats sounded together, following the same rhythm and most of all, the feeling of Alec’s smooth lips as they touch his, he wondered, how would it have felt like if they had went through with that kiss, he didn’t forget about him, not even once

But as Mel was tempted to reply him, just as he was about to utter something, Alec Yelled. “its here… its here, here is my apartment, Alec said as he was using his finger to gesture at the building just in front of them,

Mel was immediately brought back to his senses with that shout, then he stopped his car in front of the apartment which Alec gestured at, then he parked his car well so Alec could come down safely,

As Alec came down from the car, he went to the window of the driver’s seat and looked directly at Mel, he reached out his hand slowly and placed it on Mel’s face, Mel unknowingly let him because he was captivated by the way Alec always looked at him especially after remembering the memory they made together at the rooftop of the Architecture Block,

As alec held Mel’s face, he looked at him and said “you have such a beautiful face Mel… I wish to see you again” Alec’s voice sounded so nostalgic to Mel, he knew if Alec didn’t take his hand of his face, he was going to kiss him, but just as he was about to make that thought into reality, they both hear a loud voice from the background  that totally distorted the mood between the two of them,

The voice bellowed “ALEC!!!”

Alec turned to his back immediately to see who called him, and he was completely spooked at what he saw, and he fell into guilt almost suddenly.
