THE MEETING

As Sidney was making his way out of the parking lot, he stopped about three meters behind Mel’s car, looked back to his car then at his phone, as if to be in indecisive.

“I don’t have to go, do I?”

But after a few seconds of decision making, he looked ahead of him and walked futher away from Mel’s car, and outside the school’s premises.

“I have to forget about him and this is the only way I can think of” he said to himself as he made his way to the bus station in front of the university.

“you only just remind me of him” he thought as a picture of Mel’s face crossed his mind as a sign of guilt for giving him no information about why he had to leave in such a hurry, because he knew; judging by Mel’s character, he might probably be mad or worried about him.

Sidney was the kind of person was the kind of person who never really liked to offend people no matter the circumstances, he had a weak heart, thought too much about the slightest things, and trusted too much; “maybe that’s why he got me wrapped around his fingers like this” he mumbled to himself as his eyes dropped, making a depressed face while letting out a deep sigh as he boarded a bus to the location that was sent to him.

2 hours later, back at the school, Alec and Andrew managed to get themselves up from the ground, with their tired bodies that felt a ton heavier than normal, Andrew suggested, they help each other walk, since it would be better to carry 2 tons together and Alec accepted it.

“well they say two heads are better than one” Andrew said with a laughter while he rested his hand on Alec’s shoulder and Alec did his, but Alec knew he was gonna be the only one carrying the two ton, or probably 90% of it , because Andrew weigh liked 2x he’s weight and to make it worse, Andrew was 5foot 10.5 while Alec was 5foot 7, he was way taller than him, meaning he was definitely not comfortable.

So, Alec titled his head and raised his left eyebrow, giving Andrew a sarcastic look, then said, “you know what you are doing right” but Andrew made a cute child-like face, leaned his head downward to look at Alec and said in a clueless manner and said “what do you mean Lec Nii-san”; Alec knew that ‘Nii-san’ meant older brother because he and Andrew were otakus (anime fans), so he knew Andrew was trying to pull off a stunt.

“like, you know I’m the one carrying the both of us, right? like literally” as he glance he’s eyes from downward, upward before landing it back on Andrew, though Andrew reacted quite lightly to his statement but still felt very thankful and showed it, as the walked slowly while staggering, towards the school gate, with their school bags, containing their school materials hanging from their other free shoulder.

After some minutes of pure struggle, the finanlly got finanlly got to the gate, and the guard that Mrs. Haffley paid to watch over the boys, just opened for them, no questions asked. Alec who was already worried about what to say to the guard, was quite dumbfounded by this action, because school has already ended ages ago and everybody had already left the school’s premises, if nothing else, he should have at least requested for their student IDs, but he didn’t.

Alec found it all unnatural, but Andrew was worn out enough already to even notice such things.

Alec gave a suspicious glance at the guard as the were going through the gate, then the guard noticed this, and the made eye contact, but the guard just smirked at him, and that left Alec shocked as the went through the gate, outside the school, he thought “that just confirms my suspicions.”

Alec and Andrew decided that they would take the bus and not walk home, even though it was like !0-15 minutes’ walk from school, but their present situation will make that impossible; “it would take to millennia to get there” Alec said that in his mind.

Luckily for them, their school was a big and well know school, it was so influential that they were able to make the transport and communications’ ministry of the state to plant a bus-stop Infront of their school.

So, they just staggered to the stop, which was a few steps in front of them, and made their selves seated on the cold iron bench provided there, “haa… h…hey, we finanlly… m… made it to the bus-stop, it looked like it would take a century to get here from the school” Alec said while trying to relax his heavy breathing, “man, you weigh a ton, you owe me a lot you know” Alec said as he gave Andrew a punch on his shoulder.

“Pillow punch, I’m dead-ass tired, but I still can’t feel even a sting from your punch” Andrew replied him while smiling with he’s eyes closed and head faced down, “that’s why I worry about you Alec” Andrew added as he lifted up his head and turned it to his side to face Alec who was by his left side.

“well I didn’t ask you to do so, stop worrying about me, stop sacrificing things for me drew” said Alec while wearing an intense sad expression on his face, “I’m not worth it“, he concluded with he’s soft toned voice sounding even lower than normal.

“really Alec, we’re doing this right now! well I will worry about you, how do you know if I sacrificed anything for you, hm? And even if I did how do you know you are not worth it, in fact, why do you say aren’t?” Andrew was agitated. “I know you turned down the offer your parents gave you to go study abroad to stay here and school with me instead drew” Alec’s eyes dropped as he wore a sad expression on his face, as he felt guilty for Andrew’s decision.

But Andrew looked at him with eyes full of care; of which Alec could see and feel and didn’t confuse it for pity; then raised his left hand, placed it on Alec’s back and started stroking him as he said to him “you’re my BEST FRIEND Alec.”

As soon as Alec heard this, the look in his eyes became brighter, he smiled like a child and felt relief, he was Happy.

A few minutes later, a bus heading their direction stopped in front of them, at the bus-stop, the boarded the bus as Alec paid the bus-fee for both himself and Andrew, they found themselves seats at the last row of the 15 seat row long bus of two columns , they made themselves seated by the right window side so it could be easy for them to get off the bus once it reached their destination .

As Alec and Andrew were comfortably sited on the long seat at the back, Alec let out a deep sigh to show that he felt relaxed, he then took a look around the bus, but before his eyes could wonder far, he was shocked at what he found.

On a seat by the left window side, just a row in front of Alec’s, Alec saw a man sitting behind him, of which his features where similar to that of Mel, he could tell because he was a person who fancies pretty people, pretty things and pretty features, so he never forgets pretty features, or a pretty face and he was particularly keen on Mel.

For moment there, he felt a little lost while staring at the man, he was almost cornered to believe it was Mel, but just as he was about to call out to him, the bus came to a stop just he front of their house, Andrew noticed this and called Alec who was intensely staring at a man diagonally behind them by a row.

“Hey man what’re you looking at” Andrew asked as he tapped him.

Alec, who was now called back to earth replied him impulsively “hah! No, it’s nothing, don’t worry about it.”

Andrew looked at him, looked at the man then asked Alec once again if he was sure but Alec nodded his head in affirmation and followed Andrew as he led the way out of the bus through the exit.

As Alec went down the bus, he was about to take a step down, when he glanced back at the man hoping to see a bit of he’s face, but the man -who was starting to feel uncomfortable- turns to Alec’s direction and the locked eye contact with him, Alec stared at him in solely in awe, because he was quite shocked at what he saw.

Andrew, noticed that Alec was still at the exit of the bus, went back and pulled him by the hand completely out of the bus and the bus continued on it way.

“Hey, you sure there is really nothing to worry about?” Andrew asked once again, but this time, just to be sure, so he could let it off his mind.

Alec’s answer was still the same, though Andrew noticed that his eyes were full of confusion, still he decided not to ask again, since he already asked 3 times over but Alec’s answer was still negative even though he had a strong feeling that something was up.

As they walked into their apartment, both their minds were filled with thought, Andrew was worrying about why Alec looked like a lost lamb among goats and why he was staring at that man from before so intensely, while Alec thoughts were filled with the connection of that man on the bus earlier and Mel; “he looks so much like Mel”, he thought that, though he knew that wasn’t Mel and his reason for this conclusion, was simply because Mel was more handsome and younger than that man.

As the bus drove off, to a different direction, the man Alec was vigorously staring at was still in the bus, this time he was fondling with his phone, staring at the message he had earlier sent to a certain recipient, and was headed straight to the location he mentioned on the phone “well, I’m late, he might already be there, and that boy must be someone who knows my brother.”

The man Alec was staring at, looked A lot like Mel, and he was still inside the bus, he hasn’t gotten to his destination yet.

He sat in the bus, he picked up he’s phone, and taped on the message icon, he then selected the last message he sent, about two hours ago, then started fondling his phone in-between his fingers while staring at the message, his mind rapidly became filled with thought of a certain person, and his eyes became filled with excitement and lust.

“I hope he’s as excited as I am, to see him” he mutters, he’s voice clearly expressing he’s deep want for the meeting he was headed to. It was like a date to him.

Finanlly, he got to his destination and it was a small café in a remote street that was by the beach in the area, the café was a small rectangular- shaped structure, with transparent walls by side where the entrance was, it had round edges and an arch like roofing, it was called Eastside café. He walked down to the café as he got off the bus, but as soon as he got to entrance, he stopped there and looked through the transparent wall, he scanned the place for a while, he scanned the environment of the café, and found out that, the café really is small, it had just about 9 customers only and most importantly he found the person he was meeting , seated at a table at the rare end of the coffee shop, with a a cup of water placed on his table, of which he was sipping from, he felt purely happy, because he waited for him, when he was late, even though he didn’t exactly know who he was meeting.

“you trust so easily babe, that is really gonna get you into trouble if you are not careful”, “but I’m here now” he said to himself and went in. A few seconds later he was now in front of his date.

“It’s been so long…. babe”, the person he was talking to raised his head as he heard him, and that person was Sidney, Sidney stood up in bewilderment, then he checked the message once again, it read;

“babe, can you be able to meet me at Eastside’s café on blue sea street” then he realized what has happened and he was in total shock.

“So you were the one that sent me this message, I thought it was not right, because if it was a date request, the other party just had to send it as a message in the gay dating app, but this one was sent to my number directly, at first I thought it just meant that the other party was serious, but then again, it might be that he knew me personally”, Sidney said in sudden realization “s**t! I was so stupid.”

Sidney was still bewildered but he tried to compose himself enough to ask him, how he ended up there, so he questioned, “what are you doing here Ezekiel Mavis”, Sidney asked but, more than half of him knew Ezekiel would just ignore the question, because he has been with Ezekiel since they was young, he knew, Ezekiel may appear warm, sweet calm, may even sound nice and all that might be because he had an innocent face and a deep low voice that was so soothing to hear, just like his brother but he was always out of reach, even if he was standing right in front of you, and even paying attention to you with a bright smile on his face, he never knew what was on his mind or what was in his heart, but all those clearly seen red cards didn’t stop Sidney from falling for him and falling hard.

“I’ve missed you so much babe” he answered Sidney as walked closer to him “I was the one that sent you that message, I added you on that dating app, I looked so desperately for you babe” he said as he slowly placed his hand on Sidney’s left cheek, “I just wanted to see you again “. As Sidney felt Ezekiel’s large soft hands on his cheek, he felt completed and that was a feeling he hadn’t felt in a long time, he wanted so much to just forget everything that had happened between them and just run into his arms, but they were just too much and he was just too much of a good guy, as all these thoughts were running through his mind, he gentle placed his hand on Ezekiel’s hand which was placed on his cheek , “but I just want to escape from you” Sidney said with a shaking voice as he gently removed Ezekiel’s hand from his face slowly but shortly, “you made your choice, you choose to leave me and because of your choices, I’m staying away from you, isn’t that what you what you wanted, I’m giving it to you” Sidney side to him while he was trembling;

But All that just made Ezekiel pieced, and more eager to get Sidney back, so this time, he placed his hand and softly caressed him, touching him like as if he was petting him, and that slowly started to excite Sidney , Sidney was a good guy ever since he was a kid, he was too nice to people around him, stranger or not, he was honest to a fault, even he’s body was very honest, and he couldn’t hid the fact that he was rapidly sinking into Ezekiel’s touches as his face became as red as a tomato.

At the moment Sidney completely sank, Ezekiel it as an opportunity to finanlly get him to come back to him again;

“I want you... I need you babe…… I LOVE YOU” Ezekiel said with his deep low voice, with a lot of sincerity in his voice and in his eyes of which he used to look directly and deeply into Sidney’s emerald green eyes. Just as Sidney heard this, his heart skipped a bit as he was totally shaken with emotion, and just like that, with just words and a little touch that came form he’s very first love and lover, the fire wall he had been building to protect himself against his feelings for the man standing in front of him while holding his face, completely shattered and went out in smoke, he could hear the sound of the shattering wall which was the sound of his heart beating faster and it was as clear as day, he knew he just crawled back into the loop he thought he finally jumped out of and he had no intentions of resisting.

Ezekiel, who was still looking deeply into Sidney’s eyes became trapped in it, then he leaned his head forward as he lifted Sidney’s head, then as soon as their lips were close enough, Ezekiel kissed Sidney so passionately in front of everyone in the café and he didn’t about who was watching, and Sidney was too bewitched by Ezekiel to even notice.

The kiss went on for 10 seconds, until Ezekiel finally stopped, then gave a smile at Sidney while licking his lips; Ezekiel thought “you cant get away from me this time babe” as he was staring at Sidney’s face that was all flushed red, and unfortunately he was taking so aback by the kiss that his mind went blank and his face started to feel hot, all he could see was Ezekiel’s dashing face, normally kissing like that in public was what Sidney would always want to avoid, and Ezekiel knew that once the kiss happened in public and Sidney didn’t even try to refuse or mention against it, it meant that he was so into it that he didn’t have the will to make him stop and his face was all the more alluring.

“hah! Babe let’s get out of here” he held Sidney’s hand and together the went out of the café.

People at the café were both shocked and surprised about those guys who just kissed in front of them and left them in utter bewilderment, some of them were a little bit turned on;

“no wonder the shorter one waited for almost 2 hours patiently, he was waiting for he’s boyfriend “

“they say most handsome men are gay, no I see that’s true” a woman said jealously

“man! That was hot” another exclaimed,

“yeah they were so into themselves” a man said “it was like we weren’t here” he added,

“they didn’t even seem from around here”

The café was heated up with everyone gossiping among each other, but the café’s owner was feeling a little down because it seemed like the one with dark- brow hair tone was someone with all the money, like some rich third generation and he wished he could have bought somethings from his café or at least order something while they were being all romantic with each other.

“s**t! Man! I f*****g need sales”.

It was late, maybe around 12am; the moon had risen to the center of the sky, it was very blueish as it was luminous, all the stars could be perfectly seen in the sky, so clear you could count them, but the wind around them was a little chilly, and under this night’s sky, Ezekiel led Sidney to see the night’s beach.

At the beach, there was no one around, probably because the night at the beach in that area was always cold, but the were missing out a lot, the view of the blue sea that was now luminous as the moon’s light refracted into.

Amidst all this, Sidney and Ezekiel were at the center, holding hands, enjoying all this ecstasy, not saying a word to each other. As Sidney watch the beautiful sea, he thought it was the most beautiful scenery he ever witnessed, but so was the 6 foot tall, slim and slightly muscular body type with large slim hands that held unto his so tight that it made him feel warm, not wanting to let go, deep blue eyes that looked into his with so much passion and affection, r****h lips, dark brown haired man who was casually but neatly dressed, that stood in front of him, he’s name was Ezekiel Mavis and this 35 year old handsome man has been the love of his live for as long as he can remember and he still is.

The atmosphere around Ezekiel and Sidney became nostalgic as they held each other’s hands, then Ezekiel walked closer to Sidney, while looking passionately into his eyes, with the intention of only hugging him, he position his arms around his waist, and Sidney naturally placed his arms around his neck, this time, he was aware of himself, he knew what the stakes were if he accepted him back into his life, as Sidney looked into his deep- blue eyes, he thought, “I just want happiness, nothing else and you are my happiness zeki, you always have, why does the price have to be so high?”, due to the mixed up emotion of anger and intense love, he pecked Ezekiel on the lips, hoping to stop there, but that just let loose all the urges he’d been holding back, so he returned the favor, but it wasn’t a small peck on the lips, it was a deep and passionate kiss that made Sidney loose balance and fell to the sand and that’s how the kiss ended.

Ezekiel, who was now on top Sidney, used his left had to softly graze his face, gave him a smirk and said;

“Sidney baby, I’m never letting you go”
