Chapter 3: Life Changing Decision

(Evelyn POV)

I opened my eyes and I felt like I was in an unfamiliar room. I tried to remember the last thing and then I realised that my so-called Alpha was beating me n*ked in the pack house in front of dozens of people. I clenched my eyes closed because I didn’t want to open them and face the harsh reality. Something started beeping loudly beside me and I turned my face to locate the reason for this beeping sound, then I saw a large machine. I turned around and I was right, I was present in a hospital but who was in their right state of mind to transfer me to the hospital when Alpha clearly ordered them to stay away from me.

I remember, about a month ago, an omega dared to bandage me and then my so called husband whipped her to death because she dared to show some pity and sympathy for her Luna. Alpha Trevon was famous for his cruel tortures and punishments. I looked around to call someone but no one was present in the room.

“Where are they? Did they do something to my child? No!!!” I thought and panic started taking over my nerves and the beeping of the machines increased. At the same time, a young lady doctor entered in the room with two omega females from the pack house.

“Oh My God! What happened to you? Please calm down,” The doctor tried to calm me down but I felt like someone put a strong foot on my windpipe and I was facing difficulty in breathing.

“I am alright! Please tell me if my ba…baby is safe or not?” I asked while gasping hard. She made me sit and started rubbing my back slowly.

“Yes, Luna! You are both absolutely okay. No harm is done but you have a few wounds on your body that will take a few days to heal,” She was whispering near my ear while rubbing my back like a younger sister. I nodded and after a few minutes, my breathing came back to normal.

“Th-thankyou for heal-helping me, but no one is allowed to help me. Are you new here?” I asked and she furrowed her brows before nodding her head in response.

“Why? Why is no one allowed to help you?” She asked and I lowered my gaze before looking towards the two omegas. She nodded in an understanding manner.

“You both can go, I have to give her an injection,” She said to them and I thanked in my heart for her cooperation.

“Ok, please call us if you need any kind of help,” One of them said, and I nodded before flashing a sad smile at them.

“Please tell me about everything honestly because I also noticed many scars and different marks on your body. All of them are not older than six months, so please tell me. I assure you that I will never share it with anyone and your secret will remain safe with me,” She said, and I could feel the honesty in her eyes, so I knew my secret would remain safe with her, but I was still feeling reluctant because It was against their Alpha and only a few can dare to go against their Alphas.

“I know you still feel hesitant, but I promise that you can trust me. I will not let anything happen to my saviour,” She replied, and I looked towards her with wide eyes.

“H-how are you?” I asked and she smiled before answering my question.

“You remember, you saved a little girl of seven years old. When you were nine years old, a few boys were bullying her in the shopping mall when she got lost,” She said, and suddenly an old memory refreshed my mind.

“We didn’t have many shopping malls in our pack, so we mostly used to visit human cities to buy our necessities. About eight or nine years ago, I was on a similar shopping trip with my parents when I saw that a few boys were bullying a blonde girl. I came near them and the girl had scraped knees and elbows and was looking at me with teary eyes. I quickly punched one boy on his nose and then kicked the second one in his guts. As the daughter of the Alpha, I got excellent training daily from a very young age, so it was like a piece of cake for me to take down all of them. I picked up that little girl and looked at her teary eyes.

“No need to cry, little doll. People used to bully the weak but fear the strong. You have to train yourself to fight against these bullies. If you allow them to bully you, then this will never stop. Be brave and fight for yourself,” I said while wiping her tears, even though I was not that old, but I still tried to motivate her. She smiled while looking at me and nodded before shaking her hand with me.

“Hi! My name is Salina Edwards and I am from the Emerald Wood pack,” She said while shaking her hand with me and I also shook hands with her.

“Nice to meet you, Salina. My name is Evelyn and I am from…” I was about to tell her my whereabouts when my parents called me and I ran towards them before quickly saying goodbye to them.

“Oh! So, your name is Salina Edwards,” I asked and she nodded before smiling towards me.

“Yeah! I took your advice quite seriously but I am so shocked to see you like this. I have never expected that my saviour would be in front of me in this condition one day,” She said, and she was really concerned about me.

“Well! I also have no idea that my fate will turn out like this, but I am trapped here forever. I have no escape route,” I said and my voice, saddened by remembering my current situation.

“Please don’t say that! You saved me from bullying years ago and now, It is my time to return your favour,” She said and my eyes widened in shock.

“Please don’t say that otherwise, Alpha Trevon will kill you. I think you are new here. That’s why you are not familiar with the wrath of the alpha,” I said to her and she smiled before telling me about her.

“Actually! My parents died in a car accident five years ago and I moved to America for further studies. I wanted to be a doctor and I started doing several courses, but it was not easy for me to survive alone. I started practising and continuing my studies when I got an offer for this job. I have no idea about the situation of the females of this pack, so I blindly said yes,” She confessed and I nodded while squeezing her hand in an assuring manner.

“You didn’t earn your degree till now but I thought! You are a doctor,” I said and she flashed a sad smile towards me.

“Yes, but there was no doctor, so they accepted me when I had an incomplete degree,” She informed me and I nodded.

“So, it means there is no any doctor in this hospital for the time being,” I asked and she shook her head in no.

“There are doctors present in the hospital but they are not allowed to attend any female patient because Alpha Trevon thought that females are not worthy of being taken care of, so they hired me to show the outside world, but in reality, they didn’t care about their females at all,” My heart hurts after hearing all this but It was not a big deal for them at all.

“I think I have to go back to the pack house before Alpha can wreak havoc on me being hospitalised,” I said, but I failed to get up because of the wounds.

“Please! You are not allowed to leave this hospital now. Your wounds will heal in a week at least,” She said, and I shook my head while at her.

“He will punish you for treating me, so it would be better if you let me leave this hospital,” I answered, and looked towards the door of my hospital room.

“He will not punish me because he is not present in the pack. He went out for a business meeting and will be back after two days. You have to think about you and your child,” She mentioned, and my hands went towards my abdomen while looking towards her.

“I have to save my baby. I will not give birth to him or her in this hell hole,” I said to her and tears started flowing down my cheeks.

“Calm down, Ivy! We will think about it later, but now, you need a bit more rest,” She said to me and I nodded before taking medicine.

“Good! I will think about a perfect plan to escape this hell hole in the absence of that ruthless Alpha,” Salina said and I nodded before closing my eyes. I have to escape this hell as soon as possible.

“I will not ruin my child’s life? What if I gave birth to a baby girl instead of a baby boy? Trevon will kill me and my baby girl and I will not take that risk. I have to find a way to save her life," Different types of negative thoughts started coming to my head when I closed my eyes, but soon, I drifted into a deep sleep because of medicine.
