Chapter 9: Discussion

(Lucian POV)

“I wanted to tell you something important,” Archer said, and I nodded before gesturing for him to take a seat because I was on the last page of the financial records and I don’t want to mess it up. I closed the file and put it back in the drawer before walking towards the couch where Archer was present.

“I ordered a cup of coffee for you,” I informed him and he nodded with a smile. “I gathered a few pieces of information about the Owner of the Blue Light Security company. You will get the shock of your life after hearing it,” He informed and I arched my brow questioningly because I was the calm and composed type of person by nature, so there are only a few things that can shock me and I don’t think any information about my mate can shock me.

“Go on! I am all ears,” I said to him and he was about to open his mouth to say something when a knock on our office door stopped him.

“Come in!” I said without looking, and Ava entered in the room with two cups of coffee.

“Sir! Your coffee,” She said in a seductive tone and I wanted to roll my eyes at her futile attempt.

“Put it here and get out,” I said in a bit stern tone but her smile didn’t even falter a bit. She put the cups of coffee on the table and lowered herself in an attempt to give us a good view of her fake b**bs.

“Ava! What is this?” Archer said while eyeing her from head to toe. She was dressed in a tight fitting black short skirt, which was doing nothing to cover her big a*s paired with a white shirt while the top two buttons of it were open to giving us a good view of her b**bs.give

“Pardon!’ She asked like she didn’t understand what I was talking about.

“Is this a formal dress? You are working in an office, not in a club. If you again dress like a wh*re then I will not even think twice before handing you your termination letter,” Archer said in an angry voice and her mouth gaped while eyes widened in shock.

“I am s-sorry, Sir! I will not repeat this mistake again,” She said and her lower lip was quivering in an attempt to stop her tears.

“Close these buttons and get out,” He said again and she nodded before buttoning up her shirt with her trembling hands and turning on her heels to leave our office.

“Why are you so angry?” I asked in a calm tone because It was not a usual thing that Archer got angry on employees like this.

“One of our clients saw her like this and was asking her for a one-night stand with him. He even dare to offer her money which she denied but I arrived there at the same time. I kicked that client out of our company but I don’t want to take any more risks. I know, She is not that type of girl but don’t know why she does that in front of us?” Archer explained while rubbing his temples in anger.

“Good job! I can understand your reasons but next time please don’t lose your cool like that,” I said and he nodded before taking a sip of his coffee.

“What were you saying before all this?” I remind her and he looked at me with a gloomy look on his face.

“Ember Conner is a strip dancer,” He said and I coughed hard before looking towards him to check if he was joking with me or not but he was all serious. "Who gave you this much important information?” I asked and he started telling me about all the information which he got.

“I highly doubt the authenticity of this information, so I wanted to check it by myself,” I said and he nodded.

“Same here! I also wanted to check it by myself. We will go to that club tomorrow,” He said and I nodded before taking another sip of my coffee.

“I sent the mail but she didn’t give us any reply, so I am not sure if she will accept this deal or not but we will see about that,” I informed Archer and he nodded.

“I think, We have to inform our parents about our mate because they are planning our marriage with that girl,” Archer informed me and I looked toward him.

“I think, We have to wait a bit because I am not sure about our mate’s decision. What if she decided to leave…” I didn’t complete my words because I know, Archer already knew what I meant.

“Hmm! I know but what if our mate said yes and our Parents confirmed our marriage already? We can get stuck in a bigger mess,” I informed him but he said nothing.

“We will see how the things work,” He said but my gut feeling was telling me that my words will prove right in the near future
