*ROSA*
I spent the rest of my free time drinking Indila's herbs to soothe my pain. It was time for my long-awaited wedding or better said, Escape.
Indila, Faith, and some other maids arrived to dress me up for my big night. Faith and an extra maid bathed me, oiling me up with vanilla fragrance. I came out of the bathroom and Indila wasted no second in beginning my dress up.
Two maids took my feet scrubbing and trimming off my long nails, same for my fingers. Indila personally made my hair, she made a crown braid and let the rest fall on my back with beauty pins holding them in place.
Faith applied a little powder on my face and painted my lips with some oil. I took off my robe and Indila helped me wear an underdress, and then my wedding dress.
A blue dress made of satin and lace beautified with flowery patterns. My favorite color, I guess this is why Indila asked me what it was.
"Here I got this for you a few days ago." Indila showed me a beautiful blue diamond necklace and my eyes lit up. She placed it around my neck and pecked my forehead, her lovely smile filled my heart with warmth. I was surely going to miss her if only she knew this would be the last time we talked.
Faith slipped a black shoe on my feet and helped me up."Wow! Luna Rosa, you look extraordinarily beautiful." Indila commented smiling.
The others nodded in agreement causing my cheeks to flush.
"Thank you so much, everyone, I appreciate your efforts."
"Oh dear, this is nothing. Now that you are all dressed, it's time to leave for the hall, Alpha Damon must be eager to see his bride." Indila placed a veil on my head and led me out of my room.
The other maids left, and Indila and Faith remained by my side leading me to where it would all happen if I was going to let it.
"Ahh! Urm I want to use the bathroom Indila, you guys go ahead. Bella and Belle will bring me downstairs." I said feigning a discomforting face.
"Oh dear, go ahead but don't take too long," Indila said not suspecting a thing, Faith had this disapproving look, she passed a suspicious look at me before joining Indila.
I hurried back to my room and met Bella and Belle patiently waiting for my return. "Thank the moon Goddess you made it in time. It's time to get moving."
"Here we got you some male wear to make your movements faster," Belle said bringing forth a leather pants and tunic shirt.
Bella helped me out of the dress and wiped my face clean, I wore the available clothes and styled my hair in a ponytail.
"Am I set?" I asked standing amid the girls.
"The urm necklace. . ." Belle touched her neck and I understood her point.
I took off the diamond necklace and stared at it, recalling Indila's smile when she took it out. My eyes watered and I let it fall on my cheeks, leaving her behind with a goodbye made me sad.
"Luna Rosa, are you okay?" Bella asked noticing my tears." I am fine. Indila got this for me and I am just going to miss the sweet old woman." I smiled out tears and dropped the necklace on the table wiping my tears with my hands.
"It's not too late to change your mind, Luna Rosa."
"Rosa!" I intercepted. "It's Rosa now, please Bella the sooner you accept it the better."
Bella hesitated at first but eventually gave in. " Rosa."
"See that wasn't so bad, try it Belle, Go ahead." I urged her.
"Rosa. It sounds so strange calling you without a title, but I am happy it's for your better future." Belle said stepping forward, she gently pulled me into a hug. Bella joined in and I teared up.
"When will I see you both again?" I asked after disengaging. The twin sisters shook their heads, sadly they weren't entitled people who traveled the world every day, the question only made them feel less of themselves.
"Never mind."
I took my pouch containing the sedative and the Vial of Eviona blossom, I dabbed the oil on my skin and it worked wonders beating off the Vanilla fragrance.
"Let's go. Time is running out." I took Bella's scarf and wrapped it around my face.
Bella, Belle, and I stepped into the quiet hallway, the coast was clear and it was our chance to head out of the Manor. We stopped at the parlor and individually hid behind large pillars.
I signaled Bella to go on with her ploy, the first phase of our plan. She was to distract the two guards at the entrance for a few minutes while Belle and I sneaked out.
"Kind sirs, there's a rat infestation in the storage room, please help me get them out before they feast on the kitchen resources." Bella faked a panic and the guards fell for it.
They left with Belle and it was mine and Bella's cue to move. We got out successfully and sneaked our way to the back gate hiding behind the pillars at intervals to save ourselves from the eyes of the arriving guest.
Three guards were situated at the back gate attending to the merchants who rode in.
"The gate is wide open."
"Yes it is, but you still need to h****k one of these carriages before transactions end for the night.
I stared up at the dark sky, the moon shone brightly, lighting up the night. I clasped my hand closing my eyes to say a short prayer to the Goddess.
"Come on Rosa," Bella said, I stared at her green eyes glowing under the moonlight.
"Thank you, Bella, for everything you have done for me. I never thought I would see this day, but because of you it all happened, I will never forget you, Bella." I hugged her tight feeling her warmth and her elating scent.
"I will miss you too Lu. . . Rosa, you will always have a special place in my heart." I smiled and hugged her once more.
"Okay, it's my time." Bella took out a piece of glass from her dress pocket and slit her hand a little, blood gushed out and she went into character.
Running towards the guards who were busy with their check-ups," Somebody help me, anyone please, I need help." She screamed, attracting the guards. Sighting the blood dripping from her cut, they immediately sprang into action, putting the merchants on hold. The ones who were leaving also stopped to see what the chaos was all about. People going into the hall also stopped to gawk, that was my chance.
I snaked passed the distracted crowd and arrived at the carriage closer to the gate.
"Good evening kind sir, are you leaving already," I asked the middle-aged man who was looking from me to the chaos behind.
"Oh dear, I am leaving, but that lady seems to be hurt." The man said his full attention on Bella. I reached for the pouch in my pocket and sprinkled a small portion in my hand.
"Kind sir, can you help me sniff this spice." I politely asked the man, outstretching my hand.
The man nodded a took a whiff of the sedative, it cracked him up and made him sneeze.
"Are you okay sir?"
"Oh dear, I think you picked the wrong spice, this smells very different. Does it have Lavender?"
I sniffed the pouch peeking at the man, he tapped his face lightly trying to keep himself conscious.
"You don't look fine sir, why don't you take the carriage, I will control the horse." I offered and the man didn't think twice before stepping down. I helped him get settled on the carriage and took his position, riding the horse out of this hell hole.
Finally, I was out of this hell hole, I rode along the road, keeping a close eye on the guards I would be approaching and the map Belle drew.
I got to the first stop point and it went according to plan. The guards let me go with immediate effect, they were scared for their health and didn't want to take the risk of contracting something unknown.
Same with the second stop point, the third was easy too, after reading the fake transaction, they let me go. I was down to the fourth, just as predicted it was an easy lip-out and now I was left with the last.
Waving their hands out for them to stop, I pulled the rail and swallowed hard. Bella was right, there was much more security here than the last four points. Others had two guards respectively, while this one had a total number of five men.
"Get down and show us your identity." One of the guards instructed.
I got down and slowly untied my scarf, my face came into view and these men smiled, moistening their lips with their tongues. Disgusting.
"It's a woman." One of them said and took a step towards me.
"A beautiful woman. Wow! I have seen a lot of beautiful women, but your beauty is special, tell us why such a pretty woman takes on such a hefty work." The words of these men made me angry, such vile words coming from them, because I was a woman. I couldn't blame them, their Alpha himself has no respect for women, especially me.
"Mind your words you fools or else I will shut your lousy mouths myself." I threatened pointing at their ugly faces.
They stared at each other feigning shock, before bursting out in a laughter full of mockery.
They were distracted, not how I planned for this to turn out, but now I was sure they deserved a good night's sleep, this will surely earn them a nice punishment from their Alpha by tomorrow morning.
I raised the now-open pouch and intended to pour it on the silly men when something or someone grabbed a hold of my hand.
The grip was so strong the pouch fell off my hand, I tried to break free from this strong grip but it felt like I had plans of breaking my wrist.
My racing heart slowed down as the charming scent of Citrus and manliness filled my nostrils, my stomach tingled and shivers ran down my spine.
This familiar scent did wonders to my being before settling in my brain. A sharp gasp escaped my throat and my body grew extremely weak.
"Damon." Muttered and tilted my head to get a glimpse of him. I jumped in fright but couldn't move an inch. Captured in his strong grip, I knew it was over for me.
One second I was staring at the devil and the next was my head colliding with the iron sheath. The pain hit me sharp and I was met with nothing but darkness.
