*AMELIA* "Search her room and bring back every jewelry box you find. . .” "But. . .But I didn't steal the box, I am innocent, how can you distrust me, Damon." I spouted, hiding my panicking state. This maid had just busted me and ruined my plans, why she couldn't keep her cool I had no clue, but thanks to the moon Goddess Damon told her to stop talking else she would have revealed I threatened the life of her son. "Alpha Damon. . .” "Quiet Amelia!!!" Damon barked at me for the second time in one day. "Mistress Amelia, please calm down, let the guards return only then can we confirm the truth," Rosaline said and the crowd was in agreement, even Damon gave a little nod to her words. I glared hard at her grinning face and clenched my fist. Damon didn't find the box in Rosaline's room which was not supposed to happen. I gave this maid specific instructions to carry out, but unfortunately, the results are not welcoming. I should have used someone more reliable, this witch blew my cover before I could sulk in on Rosaline's innocence. I dreaded every second that passed, waiting for the guards to barge into that door and spill what they knew. Minutes later the guards returned and they were with multiple jewelry boxes. Damon wasted no second in going through all my boxes and he came by the last one and picked out the small box I had taken from his study earlier. "We also found this, Alpha Damon." One of the guards took out my pouch of Eviona blossom. My heart sank and I forgot to breathe. Tears clouded my vision as images of my death flashed before my eyes. Damon took the pouch and sniffed it, he tossed it aside and wiped his nose. "I found it." The loud and filled gasp that followed made me wish for my death sooner than when it would happen. "I. . .I. . .I don't know how that got there, someone set me up, believe me, Alpha Damon, why would I steal from you." Damon's rage-filled eyes locked with mine and I found myself shrinking, was it my imagination or reality? "I vividly remember the maid revealing your agenda, were you trying to frame me of theft? Isn't that cruel mistress Amelia?" The crowd began to murmur amongst themselves. "Why would she take on such a cruel act?" "I presume jealousy is the key." "What punishment awaits her evil deeds?" "I hope Alpha Damon doesn't spare her, her hands should be cut off for thievery." I bowed my head in shame as those lowlives remarked, mocking me in the process. I was so scared of what Damon would do to me. What if he cuts my hands as mentioned? I glanced down at my beautiful hands and a tear escaped my eyes imagining my life without them. "Alpha Damon, What do you intend to do with Mistress Amelia?" Rosaline asked, sparing mocking glances at me." Damon was silent for a while and everyone anticipated his judgment, the stupid maid was now kneeling before him crying like the fool she was born to be. If I manage to get out of this phase alive I promise to teach her a valuable lesson. "There would be no judgment until the passing of my wedding. Amelia shall be on house arrest, she will not leave her room for the next three days, and after my wedding, I will bestow my judgment and give her a punishment she ought never to forget." Relief washed through every fiber of my being as Damon's words sank into my ears, I wasn't out of danger but thankfully I had some time left, with my little time, I could turn the table in my favor. I smirked at an annoyed-looking Rosaline, she didn't expect Damon to favor me, that's how it seemed but I knew what exactly was coming for me. Damon dismissed the crowd and two guards came by to lead me back to my room. Making sure I was settled in, the guards closed the door and locked me in. Utterly embarrassed by what happened, I stood up kicking everything that came into sight, I trashed my room and fell on the ground heaving deep breaths. She slipped out of my perfectly made plan, embarrassed me in front of lowlife Omegas, and rubbed dirt on my name, my very own name. I should not be here thinking about what went wrong, Rosaline should. The dangling of keys pulled me out of my thoughts, I swiftly stood up as the door opened, and Damon walked in looking as angry as ever. "Alpha. . .” he cast a treacherous look at me and I immediately swallowed my words. Roaming his eyes around, his face wrinkled realizing the mess I had made. "Seriously. . .” he muttered inaudibly, I wasn't sure if that was his actual words. "Why did you try to frame Luna Rosaline? Did you by chance forget how superior she is to you? You tried to frame her for theft to get what exactly? Mind spilling the beans." "No Alpha Damon. . .” I was only looking out for you, that pesky woman has only given you nothing but problems and I know she's not going to stop. Forgive me, Alpha Damon, my actions may look bad, but my heart is pure. I did it because of the love I have for you, we know each other so well, and transparency has flown in between us for the past two years, isn't that enough to believe my intentions were good." Damon kept a straight face even after all that I said, he wasn't convinced, my so-called crime had never been tolerated by him since day one, being the sole reason he lost his parents. If he had Caught Rosaline as the thief, Damon would have ended her life in minutes because she was a big part of his misery. "You hate her, I hate her, and we both have one goal, to end her life and send her body back to her parents. I only tried to make it faster. . .” "SHUT UP!!!" I staggered backward, shaken by Damon's rage. "Don't try to justify your evil plans with my past Amelia, you mapped out a plan to falsely accuse an innocent person. How dare you? How dare you use my parent's predicament for your selfish gain. I am disappointed in you, Amelia. Today you have made me bow my head in shame. I thought I could trust you, I filled you with the truth of my past, something that no one else has known till date and this is how you repay me” He frowned, gritting his teeth. "In three days, you will receive a punishment that will make you regret your actions for years to come. And if anyone, especially Rosaline, finds out her true purpose here, I will have your corpse sent to your father." Damon snorted and stormed out of my room banging the door hard. I shook at the impact but shivered at the venom that filled his every word. I lost my hard-earned respect in Damon's eyes, in the space of Rosaline's arrival. More than ever I grew determined to bring Rosaline down with me at all cost. She made a mockery of me today, but I will have the last laugh.
