Once Thompson was gone, Julie closed her door, locked it, and put on the dress that he’d had designed for her night at the Oscars. It was as she’d originally thought; a design of Andrew; flawless in every way – There was even a scent to it, like lilacs and sweet peas. Seeing what effort Thompson had gone to in order to make her night perfect, she decided to let go of her animosity.
Lucy opened the bedroom door and called Thompson’s name. “Thompson,” she shouted. “I’ve put the dress on. Come look. It is splendid. Thank you so much!”
As soon as Thompson heard her voice, he dropped what he was doing and ran in the direction of her room.
Once Julie was content that Thompson was as overjoyed as she was, she looked at him and, with a sensual tone of voice, asked if he would help her undress.
