By the time Thompson and Julie returned from their walk, they were both hungry. They had missed dinner, but there were leftovers for them in the fridge. Julie dished out plates for them, heated them up, and brought them to the table. Lucy had prepared ginger chicken, rice, a vegetable julienne. It was one of Thompson’s favorite dishes and his eyes lit up when he saw what was on his plate.
