"Caleb? Is this you? " Zeke answered with a sleepy voice. Okay, now I'm really panicking.
"Zeke, this is me Miguel. " I responded, hoping that I'd get something from her.
There was a moment of silence on the other line, then she finally answered again, "Miguel, why are you calling? "
"I was just hoping that Caleb was with you. He hasn't been returning my calls. " I felt the panic with her response.
Caleb must be filling her up with some details of the case.
"No. The last time we talked was last night. Do you think he's okay? " She would definitely try to go if I told her the truth.
