Caleb’s POV
I hate this situation but even after we had eaten and we cleared our minds, I still had no idea how we would be able to solve the case in our hands. All I wanted was to give justice to the victims, even if I wasn’t sure if they deserved to have it. Something in me kept telling me that there was more. With how the killer and their accomplice work, it felt like they were just carelessly erasing people’s memories. Of course, it was enough to cover the truth, but it seems like they are just playing around, or the one sending the rose cards at least.
The one that did the killing was clearly an expert. The person never left any evidence or any possible leads to them. The vampire that was erasing memories, on the other hand, wasn’t so neat in his compulsion.
