Caleb's POV
I maintained my smile even though my heart skipped a beat after hearing his accusation. Even my wolf jolted awake and was panicking for me.
I snorted, "What am I then? " Should I tone down for a bit? Was I really obvious that I wasn't human?
"A humanoid from the future? Or an alien that kidnaped Caleb and stole his identity? " He threw his guesses. My wolf commented that it was ridiculous and felt ashamed for panicking. I almost burst out in laughter.
He glared at me, "That's the reaction of an alien for sure. At least give me a tip if your kind is already invading the earth so I can ready myself. " Dexter kept spouting nonsense.
Fortunately, he was in the wrong genre.
"You watch too much sci-fi on your breaks. Try dating instead. " He scoffed at my suggestion.
