Five ‘ Are you sure that they are going to attack. ’ I asked Keats who looked at me in anger. I won the argument that I am more useful to them fighting rather than hiding but it comes at a price ; I am literally attached at the hip with Keats who said that if I am going to put myself in harm’s way by fighting, the lest I can do is to give him peace of mind by being in a place where I am in his sights always. ‘ yes they are going to attack. They are just looking for the weakest place in our defense just like Chase is trying to find the weakest place in theirs so we can attack them too. ’ Keats explained to me with great patience which was wasted cause I didn't get one single thing he said. ‘ so just like football, men plays and understand and yet the only thing I got was that boys love making their games complicated.' I said in a bored tone. ‘ this is not a game. ’ Keats said in an angry tone. ‘ so they also say about football.' I quipped then point to a place within the mages line. ‘ if we start a fire there it can cause the right distraction to enable us take out one- quarter of the fighters without them realising what hit them.’ I said as Keats looked at me with his eyes that made me think he was laughing at me. Then he confirmed my suspicions by asking in a mocking tone ‘ and how are we going to reach there without them realising that we are on the move.’ ‘ by me using my power to light a flame on their fuel supply. ’ I said as Keats head whipped around so fast that I was shocked that he could move that fast. ‘ so should I go for it? ’ I asked Keats who nodded then I closed my eyes to do my stuff and it worked so well that there was sudden fire which cause the fight to start. We were honestly not approached until they staged a surprise attack which knocked Keats unconscious and me out numbered until Arliss who came to help me. As he was attacking the mages who were immediate threat to Keats, he was struck with a fatal blow from his back which made him whine out and caused all heads to snap to him. All of a sudden it seemed as if we were empowered by our grief because we knew even then, with some where in our hearts that he would not survive. We all fought back which causes the mages to run off when they saw that we were no longer wounding but now killing which made them disappear. Chase who was Arliss twin was the first to reach Arliss since I had eyes only for my mate. ‘ Arliss bro, please stay with me. Help is on the way you are going to be alright.' Coughing blood out of his mouth he replied his twin with a weak sorrowful tone. ‘ we both know that it is going to be too late for that.’ ‘ brother...’ chase said in a choked up voice which showed that he was crying. ‘ take care of Moira and don't let her beat herself up over something which she had no control.’ Arliss said in a tone so low that they had to strain to hear him. ‘ I promised to try my best to help her.’ chase said openly crying. ' don't leave Keats alone when he is going to need help in future .' Arliss said in a sigh. ‘ I promise . ’ ‘ time to rest ' Arliss said and with a sigh he gave up to ghost which triggered howls starting from chase to every shifter who was on the war field, including keats who had woken up by then. ‘ I won't forget your sacrifice my brother. I will make sure that they all die. ' Keats vowed in rage. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Leaving for Keats castle, a.k.a. his home was to me a sad event. Hugging my father for what felt like the hundredth time I cry a little because this isn't fair I wasn't even given a chance to mourn my brother before Keats announced that we are leaving. The news caused chase to lunge at him with a growl although I understood how he felt, he just lost his twin and it look like he was about to lose his only sister too. It took the intervention of my father to hold him down. Leaving now made me sad , I know that it is the only option remaining because the mages will continue to come until they get what they want. According to Keats, the castle which he referred to as his home is more fortified and well guarded. ‘ promise you will call everyday. ' my dad said in a voice that sounds chokes up I know he will never admit it. ‘ promise dad ’ I replied tearfully not even bothering to hid the fact that I am crying. ‘ stop hugging her all time dad you still have twe...' Brody started then he remembered that one of them is no more. ‘ eleven sons so don't act as if the world is over.’ ‘ okay ‚ go on kiddo you have the world ahead of you. ’ alpha Adrian tried to say in a fatherly tone but his tone broke in the end. ‘ take care of her please ' Dillon said in a low tone, pleading with Keats with his eyes. ‘ I promised to protect her with my life. ' Keats said with full sincerity. ‘as if you have a choice. If anything happens to her, you will pray for the slowest most painful death you know when I am through with you.' Jack said with his trademark grin which cause the receiver to feel like a prey. ‘stop threatening my mate, brother ' I said to Jack who didn't look the lest remorseful for threat. ‘ hey, some one has to keep him in line. Even when not present I will be the one.' Jack said. ‘ let's go.' Keats said after he regained his composure from the threat issued by Jack on his life. ‘ Bye all ' I said as I walked towards Keats who wrapped him in his arms. Just before she entered a portal that Keats had created ,she turned to look at her family then had a bad feeling that they will never be like this again. ... ‘we are here.' Opening her eyes she saw a very high tower that she couldn't even see the top. ‘ welcome to our home.'
