Strug Life

Episode Four

MELAINE:

"Mommy could I play color switch on your phone?" Arielle asked. We were currently on our way to her daycare. "Sure baby." I said handing her my iphone.

"Goodmorning Ms. McWell and goodmorning to you too Arielle." Tiffany said as we walked inside. "Hello Tiffany how are you?" I asked. After we exchanged a few more words and I kissed Arielle goodbye, I was on my way out the door. "Ms. Melanie." I heard little Avery say as she walked up to me as her father was dragging along behind her. "Hey baby." I said engulfing her into a hug. "Goodmorning August." I said giving him a side hug. "Morning love." He said and we exchanged a few words until we both went our separate ways.

AUGUST;

"Who that?" Sneak said as soon as I settled into my Range. We were both on our way to work. "Nobody." I said pulling out my parking lot and headed to my job. He scuffed. "Come on bro." He started I knew he wasnt gone leave this s**t alone. "She got to be somebody if yall hugged and then you was staring at shawty ass like you owned that shit." I wish.

"Now tell me who she is." I sighed this nigga was nosey. "She's Avery's bestfriend moms." I said as I unlocked the door to my store. After that, he didnt say nothing else and we got straight to work. "So you feeling baby girl moms aint you?" Sneak asked as he checked out some dude stuff. "No, im coll with all of that for right now and besides she probably got a nigga at home, and I aint with all that drama." I said greeting the people who just walked in.

MELAINE:

3:30 read the time on my phone, in a couple minutes I would have to go pick Arielle up from daycare but with a full restaurant of people I dont think Mr. Hollard is even going to let me take off. "I'm sorry Ms. McWell, but do to short staff, I cant let you go early." I mentally rolled my eyes. "But I get off in a couple hours, I'll come back and work extra hours till you let me go." He raised his hand for me to stop my rant. "Im sorry Melaine but I just cant let you go." He said walking off. "Sorry my ass." I mumbled taking off my apron and throwing it down on a nearby vacant table and walked out the building, my daughter came before anybody.

AUGUST:

4:00 read the time on my car radio, I was on my way to pick up Avery from daycare after I had dropped Sneak off at his crib. I parked in the loading zone of the daycare and got out the truck. "Mr. Alsina." Tiffany greeted as I walked through the door. Whats popping." I said as she went to get Avery who came walking out holding hands with Arielle. "Hi, bestfriend daddy." Arielle said as she stood in front of me. "Whats up babygirl." I said grabbing both Avery and Arielle hands as we walked outside. 

Arielle went sat on a nearby bench where you wait for your parents as I got Avery settled into her booster seat. All the parents were gone and she was still sitting there. "Where your moms?" I asked her. "I think shes at work still, she would usually be at work around this time." She said shrugging her shoulders. "Okay." I nodded my head understanding that part.

"And your pops?" She sighed. "I dont know where he is, mommy says he moved on." She said looking sad. I couldnt leave her here by her self. "Alright,come on you coming with us so I could take you to your moms." I said helping her up and into the truck making sure she was buckled up right.

As I made it to Melaine's job, I noticed the place was packed, where people had to park on side of the road and what not, so I just parked in front of the restaurant.

"Come on girls." I said opening the door for the girls and walking into the restaurant. "Im sorry sir but we dont have any more table right now." The host said. "Im not here to eat, this here is Melaine's daughter, is she here?" I asked and he nodded his head and did something on this tablet device and before you know it Melaine was walking towards us looking fine as ever but I could tell something was wrong.

MELAINE:

"Leave me the f**k alone Harry." I said to my boss well ex boss. "If you leave out this door aint no coming back for you." He said as I kept walking. Before I could reply, my pocket vibrated indicating I received an alert from one of the employees which was Ryan who was the host. An August Alsina is here to see you.

After I read the message, I threw the tablet onto the floor and kept walking towards the door where August and the girls stood. I turned around to Harry with his arms folded. "I quit." I said walking away out the door with August and the girls behind me.

"Mommy." Arielle ran up to me with her Minnie Mouse bookbag trailing behind her. "Hey baby girl." I said picking her up. "Mommy sorry for being late." I said hugging her.

"I picked her up for you since she said that you would be here and I just didnt want to leave her alone." August said walking up to me. "Thanks August, its just been say havoc here but I was on my way to pick her up." He nodded. "But is everything good here?" He asked. I shrugged. "Well I just quit my job so you tell me." I said. He nodded. "I see but dont worry your little head I have a job for you. We can discuss that later, yall justg get home." He said getting into his car with Avery as I did the same with Arielle and we took off.
